Please come here. This atmosphere is amazing. The food is DELICIOUS and their drinks are pretty tasty. The experience you receive at this restaurant is one of a kind. Family owned restaurant with their catering establishment next door that can serve up to 20,000! They also own a five star hotel right next door. Don't miss out on this one of a kind experience.
My ex military father is always seeking out German restaurants having done three tours in Germany. Saw Schnitzelbank billboard driving from MO to KY to visit so we decided on a short road trip to try. Loved everything about it! The building, music outside, gift shop inside, the food, the themed attire the wait staff wears, the decor. I was unsure about the red wine gravy in the Goulash so they gave me a sample. How thoughtful! Ordered it without regret. Happy Fraulein! Oh...they even have a penny machine. I happen to collect them so was super thrilled to have a souvenir! Bonus - my dad left happy, too. Vielen Dank, Schnitzelbank!
This place is fantastic and well worth the drive! An old school German restaurant (circa 1960) with tap and bottle beer from around the globe. Not the rowdy scene of a beer hall, great for families, a date or just cause you're hungry. Not the cheapest place in town but you get great quality German food and plenty of it - you will not leave hungry.
This is the most amazing find! If you love true authentic German food! Well worth the little out of the way for us! It will be a regular visiting place when we go anywhere near it! Was great watching our daughter learn a little bit of what Germany was like when we lived their long before she was born! She and I loved the little store! Thank you for the wonderful memories! And of course the amazing food! She had fun learning some of the German words throughout the restaurant and the shop!
Lots of good choices to eat here and a nice German gift shop. I ordered the Schweine Schnitzel with German potato salad and sauerkraut. It was good and comes with a salad. The salad bar looks large and good but I didn't try it this trip.
So mad that I visited so soon after I had already eaten lunch. But my travels allowed me a pit stop. Had their giant pretzel with delicious cheese dip. But it was the mustard that opened my eyes and sinuses. Wow that stuff was hot! Lots of horseradish. Will definitely return with an appetite!
Great Rouladen. One of the best I have had. It's a German Dish of Roast Beef wrapped over a bunch of good stuff with gravy. The potato pancakes I did not like but the main course made up for it. Prices are great for a being a nice restaurant. Red Cabbage was good also. Don't pass this place up if like German food.
The only problem with this place is that it's not near me. I would probably be here every weekend if it was. I got the braised pork shank and it was absolutely amazing. I'm no German food aficionado, but it was easily some of the best I've ever had. Jenna was awesome, the service was awesome and she was knowledgeable about the beer. I will absolutely be back.
