This is hands down one of the best barbecue places I have ever been to in my life. The location is so cute, the music is great, and the food was AMAZING. I got the I Love Texas Tacos, and they were probably some of the best tacos and the best barbecue I’ve ever eaten. Also, the service was really fast! They have plenty of gluten free options, including the fries, all the meats, and all the sauces.
Really wanted to review the ribs but, but my brother in-law who invited us out to give em a try, got the last slab of ribs! So tried my next favorite BBQ item pulled pork. Yummy! Sides were very generous too! We'll be back earlier next time when there are more ribs.
Been to Jefferson City several times, first time stopping at Sweet Smoke, and it was not a disappointment at all! Was definitely worth the stop and we will be back.

Loved the sauces. All four of them. I’m not usually down with Carolina mustard, but this was good. The put beans were awesome. Meat added to them and smoked. But the cheddar jalapeño grits were the best thing on this tray. Unbelievably good. Rich and tangy. Not hot. The only thing is the ribs had quite a pull to them. I was their first customer of the day, so they may have needed to go a little longer, but the rub was sweet and there was a nice smoke ring. Other than a little tough, they were delicious.
The food at Sweet Smoke BBQ is amazing soft and well flavored and it came out quickly. They have many options for sides including what we got which was potato salad, baked beans, apple sauce, and French fries. Everything here was delicious and the service was excellent too! Would recommend to anyone in the Jefferson City area.
A great place to enjoy fine barbecue, tucked in between the many stores near the state capital. We were greeted by the host, a nice do it all, know it all guy, who thoroughly explained the menu. The food was great, even the turkey, and I’m a rib person, a variety of sauces at hand, and nice atmosphere. We were personally thanked when leaving. Can’t go wrong here.
Besides tha quality food and beverage, the service and seating options were outstanding. Staff were attentive without being over-bearing and the seating options really allowed for a pleasant dining experience.
I seriously underestimated how popular The Sweet Smoke is. I really thought there would be leftovers. I ended up putting some pulled chicken over a bowl of my quick rice. Coleslaw gone, salmon gone, chips gone, chicken I think there is a bite? Yum!
