Located at the ground floor, with good waterfront view.
This place is a must try for our craving of Indian flavours.
We tried the Aloo Papdi Chaat, Amiya Tandoori Platter, Shaam Savera, Chicken Vindaloo along with Naan and Rotis.
Last but not the least try their Rasmalai and Gajar ka halwa.
Good place to be with family and friends.
Met friends for dinner; ground floor of a high rise. Started off with veggie samosa and kali mirch ka tikka for appetizers. Tasty and not too hot. Dinner was handi lazeez murgh, tandoori platter, chicken xaccuti, chicken vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. Their spice scale is one to three. Three will get your attention. No valet parking so drop off your friends and find some street parking. Excellent service, good value
A nice and cozy Indian place in New Jersey serving authentic Indian food.
We ordered a samosa and an Indian curry and the flavour was very balanced and the taste was pretty good.
The ambience of the place is good and the service is pretty quick. This place is really recommended if you're in Jersey City and craving for Indian Food.
Visited Amiya often for the lunch buffet whenever I was in Jersey City. Loved the variety - Masala Dosas, Samosa chat, Papdi chat, Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Biryani.
Loved their Saag Paneer too! Good food, friendly courteous staff, they take good care of their guests.
I had heard about this place for a long time and wanted to visit this restaurant when I visit New York and it happened. I had been to their buffet. They have a real good list of appetizers and entrees. The options among the deserts were very little, but the food is amazing. Close to good Indian food.
I know it's not normal to get 5 star from me as the review is not only about the food. But it's overall experience -like food, service, interiors, presentation. But as I personally visited the place and saw how my food was made I was very impressed by the quality of food and ingredients they use. The kitchen is clean and well maintained. chef girish and his team wear all necessary things needed to maintain hygiene.
So amiya located at jersey city , green street ,They serve both vegetarian & non vegetarian food . They have many different cuisines. So one section prepares delicious indian food . Trust me. It taste nothing less than authentic. The other section are putting out some really good and tasty mexican, Italian and chinese food.
They do take away & home delivery
The packaging of the food is neat and very clean and the food is packed in such a way that it reaches you hot and fresh.
thanks chef girish and his team
One of the best place for fine dining with Indian food. Food is rich in flavor and texture. The quantity of food is more than you would expect.
Great place for dinner with family or a date.

Clearly the best overall dining experience in Jersey City. Great and Best food, knowledgeable service, in a welcoming setting. Service is attentive.
I love Indian food and there are so many options in Jersey City. However my memories at Amiya are quite special since their food tastes fresh and absolutely delicious. I used to go here when I feel like splurging.
Great restaurant in area of Jersey City. Great ride when you feel like leaving your zipcode but don't want to trek into manhattan . You'll love it and has a grand bar .
This is a very nice place. Very good ambience with waterfront view. We had been here to celebrate Valentines Day. Food was decent. Staff was quite good as well. We visit again surely
Really nice setting and great fresh food. Have gotten takeout from work across the road a couple of times and it's always reliable. My one bone to pick though is they are a little stingy with meat in the curries given the price.
Good Food. My girlfriends and I were there in May for a birthday dinner. Food was great, and we loved the outside seating. There was a small birthday party going on as well, so we got to enjoy the music.
Definitely check it out. We thought we'd go for some Indian food on the rare evening we get to get out without the kids in tow. So, we drove out to Jersey City to Amiya (friend's recommendation) and were really glad we did. The food was good. Loved their chicken masala and the bread with the raisins and nuts in it (our server had suggested). The atmosphere was similar to upscale restaurants in NYC. A great place to go. Thx Carlos & Dina for the recommendation
Highly recommend. I went on my first blind date last Friday and had dinner at Amiya. The food was really flavorful and just plain good. They have changed their decor since I was there last. It was a lot more cozy and elegant. Our waiter was very attentive, more than what I can say about my date. I will be back yet again.
Great Indian Restaurant. Great food. Our favorite: appetizer sampler, lamb rogan josh or vindaloo, vegetable korma, saag paneer and KHEER for dessert! The weekend lunch buffet is also very good!
Atmosphere and Service Very Nice, Food was OK. After indulging in the best Indian food I have ever tasted recently in Sydney, I am now on the hunt for a good local Indian restaurant upon returning home. After seeing some positive reviews, I gave Amiya a try, especially given how easy this is to get to for me (it's very close to the harborside stop on the HBLR). I enjoyed the atmosphere - the owner did a great job of making the place feel cozy - and the service was very good. However, the chicken in the butter chicken was dry, the sauce tasted like the same used in the tikka masala, and the garlic naan bread had way too much garlic. It was serviceable and perhaps my standards are a bit too high after my recent experience abroad, so I will give this another try in a week or two.
