Was driving around the neighborhood looking for a decent place to eat with my fiancé. Came upon this restaurant and it exceeded both our expectations. Food was amazing and service was fast. Definitely a nice cozy place to enjoy date night or with family. Will be visiting again soon!

Going back 40 or so years, I have never had a bad meal at Laico's. From a young teenager living in Jersey City, to a parent catering their children's birthday parties through the years while living miles away, to reunions and get-togethers with my old friends, Laico's has always come through with fresh, innovative Italian dishes at an affordable price. The one negative is always the shortage of parking spaces, but this restaurant is tops in my book. Looking forward to many more meals there with my friends and family!

Let me just say, I absolutely love your salad! The dressing for the salad and the crusty bread are fantastic and will always bring me back. I ordered the veal and shrimp parmigiano as my main meal and it was perfect. I really can't wait to go back and possibly have my own huge bowl of salad.
JC's best of the best! Always a great meal and Meredith makes the best drinks around!
I’ve been all over this country and this has to be the best Italian food that I have ever had!
Felt like I just walked into my grandmothers house! The smell when I walked in was amazing. Great food and excellent service. When I Come back to Jersey City this will be the first place I go.

I've been going to Laico's since the mid-70's. I think they've gotten even better with age. Great homemade Italian food. Nice small intimate family atmosphere. This restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Jersey City. I NEVER miss a chance to go there when I'm visiting the old neighborhood. You shouldn't either!

I ate here in 2011 multiple times and I judge all Italian food by this restaurant! I am in Texas and I think about this place often and tell everyone heading that direction to stop by here!
Went to try Laico's Italian restaurant in Jersey City.
Heard mostly good things about it.
My wife and I shared the Filet mignon Madeira and the chicken Parmigiana with the mussels in white sauce and breaded artichokes. Overall I would say it was above average.
Warm, comfortable environment. Prices are about right for dishes. I ordered shrimp and veal parmesan with pasta, calamari and an amaretto sour. My company got pasta primavera with capers, zucchini and broccoli rabe.
Very big Italian family vibes. I like the "locals only" feel of the place. The chicken parm is hands down the best I've ever had! However the next time I went I got the stuffed shrimp and it was just okay. Overall very good and I will be back. I just wish there were more parking, but what can you do
Italian food is my absolute favorite food to eat. I love this place, I was completely satisfied, portions were good, tasty and perfectly cooked. Shrimp parm over pasta, mussels appetizer, & a side of mozzarella, tomato and onions, delicious 😋, just under $60. Ordered ahead by phone, easy, at pick up, establishment is rather small but the atmosphere is comfortable. It's a must try.
Great place, good atmosphere & the food was excellent. We had a margarita pizza, & artichoke hearts to start. Both were exceptional. The pork chop & sea scallops were both cooked to perfection. Highly recommend trying this place!
Laicos is one of those old school Italian spots where you walk inside and go, “This going to be amazing.” And then you end up spending 5 hours there eating the best food ever and drinking red wine… and it is, in fact, amazing.
Calamari, mussels, octopus apps were great!
Chicken and eggplant parm dish was TOP NOTCH.
They didn’t rush us, service was great, everything was great.
