My first time ever at the restaurant. I only had the Rice vermicelli with grilled chicken. It was delicious. The meats were chunky and well marinated.
However, they need to add some lightnings inside because it was kind of dark inside. It was hot in there as well. They probably wanted to save money on electricity. It was unpleasant to eat although the food was good.
They also sell jewelry and other stuffs there.
Did not try the Pho. Hopefully, next time they turn up the AC.
Love the traditional setting. Very authentic pho shop with an island twist. No only will you find A delicious Vietnamese cuisine, but also local and Vietnamese fantasy jewelry. I ordered the rare beef dish. It was delicious.
I love Bun Bo Hue and I drive over from Mililani to eat at Planet Pho. The portion sizes are generous for two people and its flavor takes me back to the street cafes of Hue and Hoi An.
I got the Beef Pho and it was Incredible!! From the flavorful beef broth, to the ever so fresh vegetables; I couldn’t get enough of the soup. The summer rolls were amazing too, Wrapped delicately with 2 fair sized shrimps. Every bite contained every ingredient. Combine that with the complimentary peanut sauce and hoisin sauce and you have a work of art. Best Pho I’ve had on island. The lady who served me was so sweet. She loves serving and talking to her customers! Please don’t let this place go out of buisness!
Food was good and the steak bowl was huge. Not as good as eating in Hanoi but not bad.
After beach, here is good place to have some hot soup with noodles.
The soup is good and if you know how to make sauce on the side, you better come here.
Great food and the employees are very nice. This is a very relaxing place to enjoy good food at very good prices.

I quote Andrew below when I say “ridiculously good”. We ordered 4 entrees and each was better than the last with generous portions! The interior isn’t super fancy so if you care about that, carry out but the food is excellent and it’s a nice family run place. These negative reviews that because they didn’t build out a handicapped bathroom, at great expense, when they clearly are not required to have this (or they would), that you would give a restaurant a 1 star review is, well, misguided. This has nothing to do with the caliber of the business and punitive for no good reason.

Based on the pho alone, I'd probably only give 4 stars: it's good, but a bit pricey. However, I'm intrigued with the different stuff on their menu and I'd like to come back to try it. The big thing that convinced me to rate 5 stars is the service. They really seemed to care about the customers.
Was treated out by my good friend. First time customer at this place. Owner/server was VERY hospitable and nice. Had their Pad Thai. They serve both Thai and Vietnamese food here. Only drawback...no inside restroom for customers. Have to go inside kitchen area to get to their restroom. The property management of this place ought to renovate and place public restrooms accessible to customers that patronize those local businesses paying HIGH rent just to run their businesses there! But of course, it's Kailua! So, EVERYTHING is EXPENSIVE!
Delicious Pho! Very nice people run this little restaurant in Hawaii. It's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place... But the Pho is authentic and very, very good. I noticed many people getting take aways here and I'm sure they do a swift trade in those.
As far as ambience goes, there really isn't any to speak of. The staff are all very nice and there's nothing wrong with the restaurant, it's just a bit run down. The bathrooms are outside the restaurant and I think they may be upstairs, so it would be hard if you're differently abled.
If you're in the mood for some killer Pho, then this is a great bet!
It was our first time trying this place and my first impression was that it's a clean and relaxing environment, also great service. Our food came out very quickly, fresh and hot. We ordered summer rolls and beef pho and it tasted amazing. Love this place and we will be regulars.
