There is no one in Kalamazoo that has eaten more Shawarma King than I 💪🏼☝🏻There are many reasons I continue to return 1.) fresh chicken, nothing frozen cooked to order 2.) quantity and quality 3.) authentic Lebanese food delicious 😋 4.) the best baklava I have ever had 5.) owner is sensitive and in touch with the protein needs of body builders 5.) The food is healthy and also tasty.. these are just a few reasons I keep coming back!! Love it 😍 long live shawarma king 👑
Bestie and I were in Kalamazoo to see the Nightwish concert on 3/28. We found Shawarma King, and decided to check it out. We were SO glad that we did! The atmosphere was friendly, the staff were friendly and very attentive, the food is amazing and fresh, and the portion sizes are fantastic for the price! We had stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and chicken shawarma wraps - YUM! Hoping to return, if we happen to be in the area again! Keep up the great work!
Food is superb as always! The portion sizes are definitely to share and the atmosphere is homey and welcoming. Love love love it here! Totally worth the hour long drive!
We found the King two years ago while apple picking. We’ve tried to no avail to find a comparable restaurant in Chicago. So, we now drive to Kalamazoo for Shawarma.
They did not disappoint.
I have been eating this delicious food for years! Walking through the door of Shwarma King you are always greeted with smiling face. I have never had a poor experience at this establishment, we are so blessed to have Shwarma King in Kalamazoo.

Amazing! I visit every time I come to Kalamazoo from Chicago now. When I lived in Kzoo for years, I ate here once a week. The lentil soup and vegetarian grape leaves are killer!
Shawarma King on Drake is one of the best restaurants in Kalamazoo, and perhaps in Michigan. It had delicious food and friendly service! my family and I really enjoyed our time there! (Don't forget TO GO!)... Thanks a lot Mr. Nidal for you and your staff.

Today was my first time eating at Shawarma King. I ordered the Shawarma chicken, and it was delicious. The hummus is the best I have ever had. Can't wait to visit again!
Of all the restaurants in Kalamazoo, Shawarma King is my favorite. The staff is very accommodating, prices are reasonable, the food is outstanding, and Nidal is such a gracious owner who always has a warm greeting for his guests. I highly recommend it!

One of all-time favorite places to eat. I've been going there since about 2003 and the food is consistently the best Mediterranean fare around.
I particularly enjoy the mixed shawarma, stuffed lamb and the shawafel sandwich. Of course it's hard to go wrong with the King Platter if you're sharing.

The food was good, but not seasoned as much as I was expecting. I loved the Lebanese tea with mint, it was very refreshing.
Prices were very fair and they have a nice lunch and dinner combo menu.
Fresh food. Make sure you fully utilize the white sauce or else you may feel its too dry or bland.
Shawarma & Sheesh Towk were both freshly made & nicely cooked. We mixed a ton of white sauce with the rice to get the flavor.
Lentil soup was excellent. Fatoush Salad tasted great as well. Try the sald & soup together for a unique taste.

You can’t go wrong with anything here! Love the fatoush salad, deluxe falafel sandwich, smoky baba ghanoush, and baklava triangles. Recently tried the fresh mint lemonade & it was fantastic!

The service was nice, business like. It's a small but busy restaurant. Their take out counter was super busy. We sat next to a window on a hot day. It was comfortable in there even though the sun was coming through the slats on shade and shining in my eyes. The baba ganoush was fantastic. I really liked the mildly smoky flavor it had. I ordered the beef shawarma dinner with rice and the fatoush salad. The salad and rice were very good. The beef was in little pieces which didn't seem like true shawarma where it's sliced off the roast in larger pieces. It was a little dry and didn't seem to be seasoned much. I wasn't a big fan. The sauce that came with it was very good. Unfortunately, there we flies in the restaurant landing on us and our food. That is a big turn off for me. If you've ever watched Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey about where flies come from in restaurants, you know what I mean. I might try this place another time. It's definitely got potential. Oh, and the little baklava roll was delicious. Five stars for that.

Everything here is always great from start to finish. It can be a bit busy but I've never had to wait longer than it took to clean a table and it is well worth any wait and the high energy atmosphere.
This is the lunch mixed shwarma platter with rice and fattoush salad as the sides. This restaurant never fails to amaze me. The customer service is amazing. The food is always fresh & hot. The service is quick and the food is amazing. I will keep being a regular here :) 10/10 recommend .
Service and food are great! The "atmosphere" is simple but I want expecting a pianist and white tablecloths. Also, the lunch portions were bigger than expected so we definitely had leftovers because we got appetizers.

It was perfect! I've never had shawarma before and was slightly wary of it but this was absolutely amazing and probably the best thing I've ever eaten. The chicken was juicy, the garlic sauce was so tasty and the pickles topped it off. We will be back very soon.
One of my favorite places and favorite owners in Kalamazoo. Everything is beyond delicious and of the highest quality. Be sure to get a King Tea when you stop in!
