2022: I ordered a pizza over the phone- ordering was very easy. It took about 30 minutes until everything was ready. Pictured is a large Garbage pizza- very delicious! Staff was friendly when I went to pick up. Will stop by again!
2023 Edit: Here are a few drinks from the Fall menu: Apple Pie Sangria, Harvest Punch and the Mule. The Apple Pie Sangria was my favorite!
It's nice to mingle at a place where the locals hang out. The decor was predictable with plenty of wildlife hanging in the walls.
The service was efficient and the first was really good. We tried the fried cheese cubes and the dipping sauce was excellent.
I chose the wet burrito, which turned into a man vs foods challenge. The large portion was excellent, but I was not able to finish it. We all enjoyed the food.
While the colorful language didn't bother us adults, I wouldn't recommend bringing younger children.
I was told to visit this place for a pickle pizza. Had a great beer from Bell's brewery while I was there. I ordered the Cuban pizza (a derivative of pickle pizza) and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I'd recommend visiting if you find yourself in Kalamazoo.
A good place for a consistent experience with decent food and drink prices and typically excellent service. The ambiance has changed a bit over the years so it isn't as much of a dive bar as in the past but it still qualifies.
Louie's is a great place to eat for familes, couples or anywhere in between. The food, service, and atmosphere are almost always great. Their fish and chips are delicious and are their burgers.
I will say I was slightly disappointed today with the brunch. The chicken and waffles were mediocre at best (chicken was bland and waffles tastes like cake). My wife got the mimosa flight and had two sips of each and didn't touch them again. They were nearly all champange and little to no juice. Our waitress was less than attentive and never once asked if there was a reason we didn't finish our food or drinks.
It was not the worst experience and we will go back, but probably not for brunch.
Best wings in Kzoo hands down, 75 cents a piece on Wednesdays. The whole menu is just good food at a good price, you cannot go wrong here. The drinks are good, atmosphere is mellow and inviting. It's the perfect Michigan bar.
Went for the karaoke and food. Fun atmosphere....fun karaoke....good burgers and fries were excellent.
Sunday brunch at Louie’s in January 2022! Mimosa flights are incredible….omelettes, breakfast pizza, biscuits & gravy or avocado toast, Bloody Mary bar too! Great service & cleanliness and distancing. The oldest bar in Kalamazoo (over 100 years old) and still incredible.
What may appear to be a spot that doesn't have the best food, our group was very pleasantly surprised at everything we ordered. I don't think there was a disappointed appetite among any of us.
We went for brunch on a Sunday, and it was so good. Not a big selection to choose from, but what is available is spectacular. Highly recommend the Tater Tot Bowl or the Burrito. Pair that with the mimosa flight, and you've got a real excellent start to your day.
It's my favorite haunt. I'm a nacho fan, they're my fave here. Always always excellent service. Lots of beer choices.
My friend Jim told me this place has the best burgers in town. He is right. Not a fancy place. But my burger was excellent and the service was spot on. I will definitely be going back.

Great time!! Excellent food, Fun server and a VERY full belly!!! Ordered the prime rib dip sandwich and the spin dip... Excellent suggestions from our server. Husband's first time there.... We'll be back!!
In a town built on beer and bars, Louies Trophy house is truly something different from our amazing waitress Abby to the beast burger we’ve enjoyed every second of this place. Don’t wait! Go have a seat and enjoy!

Louie’s is the absolute best! The staff is amazing, the food is just WOW! And it’s actually still an affordable place for dinner and drinks. They have kept the original appeal while modernizing the menu and delivering great customer service. I’m a regular for life!
Cannot beat the atmosphere of the oldest bar in town, but tbh the fish tacos weren't my cup of tea.
