Hands down, best take out and best prices for a picky family of five (everyone wants something different). As a local with young kids, we haven't tried to go "out" to dinner in a while (and of course, COVID) so we figured we'd give their curbside a try. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Services was fast and friendly
Curbside was so easy - MUCH easier than any other take out we've tried during the pandemic
Food was packed securely and order was accurate
Food was still "fresh" when we got home, not soggy and cold like you sometimes get with takeout
The prices are spot on. An excellent value for your money.
The staff was very friends and accommodating to our family with young kids. The food was except. I had salmon and steak, both were cooked perfect. I loved the veggies that came on the plate.
The Very Best! Mac and Cheese to die for! Crunchy chicken salad = awesome. Burgers.... Mmmmm Good! You can't go wrong. And the lunch specials are reasonably priced! I'm a HUGE fan!
Really good food especially for the prices you pay. I ordered the country fried steak. Can’t wait to eat here again!
Can’t wait to dine back in person once covid is over. I hope they bring back their fried green tomato burger because that was the best! They have great options for vegetarians and good beer and wine selection. They pack the curbside pickup nicely. Unfortunately their covid curbside menu is much simpler and less exciting than their in person/pre covid menu. Still good though.
We visited State Road Tavern & Restaurant for Sunday brunch, and were very impressed at the cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendly service (by Deborah R), and the tasty food. I chose the Benedict of the Day, which was an eggs Benedict dish with pulled pork and kale, hubby got the salmon BLT. The grounds of the DeJoria Center (which State Road Tavern is located next to) and views of the mountains from the restaurant are beautiful, and we might have opted for patio seating, but it was still just a teence too cold - in June, go figure! The thing that we most appreciated was that they played old school country on the satellite radio instead of the awful watered-down hip-hop or auto-tuned R&B you hear at most restaurants. For what you get, State Road's prices are a tad on the high side, but if the opportunity arises, we'd happily dine there again!
Food was good, service was okay. We asked for condiments for the burger, the waiter went in the back and came out minutes later with condiments and drinks for a table of 7. We felt that the condiments should have been a priority as our food was cooking down as we waited.
Also you advertise $5 meals, when we eat down the menu was $6. The waiter informed us that no it's $6 and didn't seen to know of the $5 offer.
This place is open for 5 buck curbside meals. Food was worth 10. We Went yesterday, they did a great job with safety and the food was really good. A Fresh char broiled delicious cheese burger. Take a ride and support this business.
