We're not sure what they put in the salsa but it's addictive. Great home cooked Mexican food with amazing flavour. Worth waiting for a table for great food, good service and a nice way to meet locals.
Very good food, service and atmosphere! I'll be coming back again for the fried ice cream, to full to try it this time. My toco sale was amazing and my BF food was really good too. Decent priced food and beer.
Escobars is amazing.. I rarely ever take my left overs to go.. But it is extremely excellent!!!! Recommend anytime you are in Kanab Utah to come for lunch or dinner here!!!!
Really tasty chicken fajitas, the portion was huge. The chips and salsa were delicious. The hostess was really nice and helpful. So bummed they don't have margaritas though.
Ample portions hit the spot prior to hiking the Wave. Don't expect stellar service or superior cuisine, but a down-home, filling meal.
Great family run place with true pride of ownership. Go hungry... Portions are big and authentically tasty.
Good gods, this is sublime.. See above.
My girlfriend and I are road-tripping through the United States; we stopped here while we were waiting for an oil change across the street. We weren't expecting much.
We definitely underestimated the place. The Chile Colorado was a rich, red, delicious bowl of beefiness, my chesty companion had the Hard-Shell taco. Both incredible.
The Carne Asada burrito was a little meh. Oh well.
Great, authentic food. My wife and I were in Kanab on vacation recently, and were in the mood for Mexican food. There's two places to choose, and we hit them both on different nights, but Escobar's was my favorite. Great, simple food with homey taste. The menu items aren't 'jazzed up' or crazy spicy, they're just GOOD. I love their salsa. I'd go back in a heartbeat. They're closed on Saturdays for religious reasons, so that can be inconveniencing.
Love it :). I love love LOVE this place! I grew up near Kanab and now that I live away from that area Escobars is a MUST whenever we are in town! Rosa is ALWAYS there and despite the amount of people that come in she always remembers what our order is! This is by far my favorite place for salsa. We always take half a gallon home to Northern Utah with us! If you are in Southern Utah, this is definately a GREAT place to grab a bite to eat.
Fresh, simple Mexican food. My tacate beer was served with a lime and an icy cold mug. I watched a couple purchase a gallon (no kidding) of their salsa. What better endorsement is that? Great restaurant.
Great food and great service! I had the steak and shrimp plate and my boyfriend had the 2 burrito plate. It was delicious. Staff is friendly and such hard workers. I love the atmosphere and how the staff works together and help one another. You guys are amazing. This is my second time coming to Utah to do some hiking in Zion and my second time stopping by for dinner. The wait is so worth it! Thank you for another great experience. ❤️
Stopped here after seeing how busy it was the prior 2 nights, now we know why! Maybe the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been too and I've been to quite a few. It was very clean, including the bathrooms. The salsa is made by our server's husband and is amazing! We bought some to take home. I had the Chile Colorado and it was great. Do not miss this place when you are in Kanab!
Mexican food made for you when you order it. It tastes like it at least. The shrimp taco and the enchiladas are wow. If you want a real mountain Mexican meal just come here. Just do it. The flan was so good that it didn't make it into the picture.

A little gem in a fantastic little town.
Escobar's was packed, but that didn't stop the staff from greeting every customer, and the line getting longer. Rose Escobar was incredible to watch. She knew every patron in the restaurant, and if she didn't, she made you feel as if you belonged there.
The food was fast and so delicious! A place to eat every time you are in the area. They will make you feel like you are at home.

Get here early as it fills up quick! Good food, we ordered a la carte and ended up with more food than we thought. Kids loved everything, will definitely be back
Great Mexican Restaurant. I think their Salsa is the best I ever tasted. The Guacamole was excellent. I had the carnitas which were delicious. My wife had the #2. We brought home enough food for admit meal. Price was very reasonable.
I'm traveling around the country pulling a travel trailer which exposes me to many places and things. The bad part is when you come across a place that you wished you could go back to or take withyou. For me, Escobar's is one of those places. A line waiting outside on a windy Sunday morning. After opening at 11:30, the place was full by 11:45. The meal started with warm chips and salsa of perfect consistency...clung very nicely. I had the Big Burrito with shredded beef and it was excellent. I could taster the individual ingredients and the size filled me up nicely. At $11.00 it was a bargain. Service was efficient but not friendly...perhaps because it was very busy and I was not a local. Highly recommended when you're in town.
Small inside dining space, but there's a patio area for good weather. Only had to wait briefly while they bussed some tables. We both got the taco, enchilada, & chalupa plate. Shredded chicken in our enchiladas, beef in the tacos & on the chalupas. Everything was very good! The chips & salsa were great, service was good. Reasonable prices too.
