Super friendly people here, and a steady stream of patrons. We ordered the Moco Loco — a bed of rice with a burger, smothered in gravy topped with eggs, and a side of Mac salad. Plate was su huge with food I may not have to eat the rest of the day. We also ordered a danish with coffee, the fried noodles and the fried chicken plate. Yep… we are all full!!

Came here for a quick lunch before going to the sandbar after it was mentioned to us by our Uber driver. He said it’s not something to rave about, just a regional chain, but we thought it sounded cool!
We thought it was interesting that this spot had half of a quick dining area and a sit-down area. The cashiers were super duper friendly.
Saimin - This was inexpensive and quite filling! It had a good amount of noodles and the piping hot broth came separately. The fish cake and char siu were tasty. Since it seemed little, I added a chicken katsu. The cashier said she made sure to put it separately so the chicks stayed crispy.
Chicken katsu - My stand-alone katsu was around $5-6 but turning it into its own combo meal with rice and mac salad is the way to go. My friend got 3 pieces for $12. We expected a dense, greasy fried food but it was actually very light and thin! It was a lot better than I expected. Its accompanying sauce is more sour than other katsu places I’ve tried. We were dying for vegetables at this point so I ate all the cabbage underneath lol.
Korean fried chicken - This was delicious! The boneless pieces don’t come in medium-sized chunks. I liked their crunch.
Loco moco - This was hot, flavorful, and honestly tasted better than some other places I’ve tried. The egg was fried perfectly.
I wish I tried the oxtail soup but it’s pretty pricey. Zippy’s fulfilled our needs before our long boat trip!
I know most locals think the food here is a little overpriced, but not much more so than any other eatery these days. Zippy's has been around all of my life and I have come to think of it as a place where friends and family gather without feeling you have to dress or act a certain way. Most of their food here I've come to think of as comfort food. "Next stop Zippy's"!
Food was great. The serving size was meant for 2 people. That's not a bad thing! Flavor was on point as well. The service was prompt and friendly. Nothing bad to say about this place. You regret eating here.
Was surprisingly impressed with the food! My parents only usually like traditional Chinese food and they really liked the oxtail soup and fried noodles here. Also impressed with the Jin dui. Not a cheap meal but convenient and delicious.
Came just for the dessert and wasn’t disappointed! The Chocolate Haupia cake was very light and tasty! Only wish that it had more haupia in it. 4/5. The bread pudding a la mode was delightful! 5/5. I’d rate tonight’s visit a 4.5 but I can’t.
Meat lovers with coffee. You get Portuguese sausage, Spam, corned beef hash, and two eggs. Service here was great. Zippy's is All over the island. Good food!
Island hospitality. Warm welcome when we arrived. We got seated right away.

Our server was excellent and gave the 2 of us tourists suggestions for the local area. Food was average but it may just be that we didn't have local Hawaiian palates.
Service was quick. Cashier was very nice and helpful. Food is always ono (good). Pricing is fair. Top fav food items 1. Chili Spaghetti(no bean) 2. Loco Moco 3. Fried Noodles
Make sure you save some room and visit the bakery after you eat. (Bakery inside most or all Zippy's locations). Apple Fritters are my favorite.
A Hawaii staple. If you're a tourist and need food to talk to the beach then hit Zippy's - it's fast and so much cheaper than what you will find in Waikiki. Recommend grabbing some fries chicken with mac salad and rice and heading to the closest beach. Locals already know this...
The parking is great here. The restaurant and fast food section are clean and both areas have restrooms.
Phone order takers are good. They listen well and are very courteous. Pick up is just as good. Very friendly and patient.
The bakery is set for Thanksgiving. Service/products are on a first-come-first-served basis. Oh and the Naples are looking wonderful!
Zippy's is a bit pricey. .. so we don't come every week. Love there seasonal dish, "Miso Chicken Plate"...
