Great diamond inside the ambassador hotel popped in for a light fare and WOW! Caesar salad with house made Caesar dressing was amazing! The shrimp cocktail were some of the biggest shrimp I have ever eaten and delicious! And the bar tender Claire was amazing heavy pours on the cocktails! Stop in relish the ambiance and enjoy the drinks!
Great dining option to go to before a concert at T-mobile. The shrimp and grits were full of flavors and it was a good size portion. Wine selection was pretty good as well. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely place.
We went to this place for Christmas dinner as we got stuck in KC due to flight delays. This place seemed like an upscale scene that would be great for a dinner setting. We got there and the hotel (Ambassador) didn’t disappoint with its curb appeal and entrance. The reassurance was super nice inside and presentable. The scene definitely wasn’t upscale but rather a bit laid back. The menu was at best a glorified bar food menu. The prices were attached to the upscale part of the façade.
The food was delicious and the portions were great. The prices were high ($25 for a Ruben, $20 for a French dip, $12 for Caesar salads) but we didn’t mind because the food was good. The winter mule was a good choice on drink but again, $16 for a drink was a bit steep.
Our waitress (Kendra) was excellent and did a great job serving us while they were short staffed there.
All in all this place was fantastic, I was just thrown off by the fancy outside and look and the laid back vibes, crowd, and staff.
Staff was on point. The restaurant space is rather small and feels kind of crowded. The decoration is art deco, strong 1920s glitz theme. The food was solid standard fare for a four-star hotel. Nothing bad just nothing all that special. I got the steak and my dad got the fish. Our server was definitely worthy of note as were the cocktails/bar.
I would give the overall experience 3.8 stars. Enjoyable, but not exceptional.
We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for a few nights, and visited the American Reserve the first night. We’d planned to have a few drinks at the bar, then move to a table for dinner. But the bartender, Isiah, was so amazing that we decided to eat at the bar! He was super attentive and friendly, creating a great experience. The food was good too!
A calm, reserved, and classy atmosphere ! There were only four other diners there when I arrived this morning. Even the restroom was elegant in shimmering black framed with brown images! The smell was neutral; sans noxious human smells or cloying freshners fighting to cover up the acrid.
I had an omelet filled with 🥓, ham, onions, and cheddar 🧀. The omelet was fluffy, tender & creamy interior , and crisp around the edges. I had a 🥣 of seasonal fruit filled with 🍇, 🍓, 🍈, and 🍍. The ☕️ was full bodied and fragrant.
🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽 out 5 plates!
We went here on a whim, and it was SOOO good. We were there on a Monday, so there wasn't live jazz like they have on Fridays and Saturdays, but there was jazz playing in the background. the service was amazing.
The food! We started with the buttermilk meatballs and then had Cesar salads and the cut of the day steak. All were extremely good! It was cool inside, with a fancy but comfortable vibe. We will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu, because we couldn't believe how good everything was!
We came here for a birthday brunch and everything we ordered was delicious. Mary Kate was wonderful and very accommodating for our group. Excellent service and food. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back.
A hidden gem in a beautiful hotel. This is my second time here and can say the food and craft cocktails are great. Their diverse menu offer everyone something they can enjoy. I sat at the bar and Larry did a fantastic job of making me a classic old fashioned.
Atmosphere is great, just short of stuffy formal cigar bar style. Service was pretty good. Just had a martini at the bar.
Bartenders were young and came across as inexperienced in that casual conversational way that a good bartender has, but I am sure that will improve.
First time being here since the new Chef Stephen came to be the executive chef! He was so kind and the food was even better than it sounded on the menu! The staff was always coming to check on us and then the chef even brought out steak tartare for us on the house! 12/10 stars! Definitely coming back here!
Reserve is an Awesome restaurant to visit for excellent food, live music and an ultimate setting for intimacy. Always an exceptional experience! The service is wonderful. Nothing less than a great evening...A must!!
I had a wonderful and delicious experience here. The staff was courteous. The new Chef Selby is making great choices to the menu!
