Very old school inside. The sausage is phenomenal! I got the Polish sandwich with peppers, onions, pickles and mustard...... excellent. My wife got the Reuben (instead of corned beef, it's made with sliced Polish sausage).....it was super! The older gal that works there treated us like we were eating in her own kitchen. Super people and damn good sausage. Prices are very reasonable. Grab an RC and a Polish sausage sammich....you won't be disappointed.
Food was great. The guys were very friendly. Highly recommend. This place is family owned and has been running for 4 generations or so. You already know that it’s going to be good, but when my friend and I tried it out it was even better than I thought. These guys are super friendly and told us the history of their area. They also sell meat and cheese for your own cooking. This place is a hidden gem.
Family owned since 1929! Great place for an inexpensive lunch and they sell meat and pierogies to take home. This is a Kansas City treasure!
I've been hearing about Peter May's for some time from my friends. They've brought me some kielbasa to try, after that I had to visit! It's a bit of a drive, but we'll worth it!
A true Kansas city original! Stopped by for a hot kielbasa sandwich at lunch and loaded up with some to take home! Best sausage in town hands down
I have only recently been introduced to this place. And I have only eaten two things from here. The kielbasas and the homemade SlimJims. Both of which are great. But if you want some, you better get there early. Because once they sell out, you'll have to wait another day! It's kinda hard to not trust a place that's been open since 1929 and passed down through generations. This is an easy 5 Stars
Have been frequenting for many years. As did my parents and grandparents so many years ago as I am 70 years old. And as far as what I recommend, if they have it you should buy it!
