the food here is amazing. as a first timer I order a 3 meat combo but quickly realize where the magic was. me and my wife are coming back for the ribs and the pork belly!!! Damn it , that was good. A personal recommendation would be to eat in. Theres limited seats but enough space to enjoy your time here. The Chinese donut caught me off guard. Next time ill bring some Nutella or condensed milk and oreos to dip it and sprinkle it on the dough because oh my god that was good. Theres nothing fancy to this place but is just perfect in my opinion. it flies under the radar in a successful china town. Will be back this weekend. Hope nothing but success to them

What a great find by Chris Shepherd on Eat Like a Local... Had the Peking Duck and Crisp Pork Belly over rice... They were both fantastic... Wonderful flavor and very, very nice crisp... The duck was fine dining quality, for sure... I ate lunch there with my son and enjoyed a great aroma while we waited... I drove in from Conroe and will definitely make the trek again... Pictured are the Crisp Pork Belly w/ Rice and 1/2 of the Peking Duck... While I ordered the Full Duck, I am only showing half of the order... The first half was eaten when served...

This place has some of the best authentic Chinese BBQ and very reasonably priced that you could ever find in Houston. Absolutely close to what you’d get back at home. The crispy pork belly has that addicting crunch that I’ll strongly recommend you give it a try. Roast duck is amazing as well.

The restaurant reminds me of a small cafeteria with limited seating. The restaurant smells so good when I opened the door. I got hungrier. I had the double meat portion of roast duck on rice, and chicken and char siu on rice. The meats were fragrant, tender, and juicy. The portions were generous. Sharing is a good idea, but why share the good food when you can have all for yourself? Service was good, and staff were friendly. Will come back again for more yummy food.

We ordered half a roast duck and a pound of pork belly to go. The roast duck was okay, as the skin was not as crispy as I would like. The pork bellies were very delicious, with savory and smoky flavors throughout the pieces. Would go back to try other items on the menu.

The inside is pretty small so it can get crowded when it's busy. The pork belly and marinated pork was very good. The pork belly skin part was super crunchy and a nice amount of fat. The steamed cabbage went well and it was very comforting to have some veggies. The rice was not bad as well, I wish I got more meat. The staff were quick.

Large portions, fast and friendly service! The food is super fresh and tastes really good. My favorite is the crispy skin pork and flat rice noodles. Will definitely come back again!

The soy sauce chicken is a must-try here, meat is juicy and solid. Their BBQ porks are also tasteful with just the right amount of sweetness to them. Would definitely recommend!

We are from Oregon and decided to try this BBQ restaurant. The Roasted Pork is out of the ordinary!! The skin melts in your mouth. The lobster congee is very fresh and flavorful. Wonton soup and pea sprouts are both delicious and with nice clean tastes. Welcoming service! Definitely come back and invite friends with us to have lunch here.

I loved the roasted duck and the ribs were delicious. The dining room is small but they are clearly doing a lot of carry out/delivery. Definitely my fist pick next time we want Chinese food delivered. Everything had tons of flavor. Very generous portions. Excellent.

Excellent meat. Crispy and tasty. The cooking is on point. I had the pork and the roasted duck. They look good. Taste good. They could get my 5 stars if they would serve in a real or better disposable plate.

The food tastes pretty mediocre. The issue of their food is that the materials, e.g., shrimp, pork stomachs used is low quality and not fresh. The duck or chicken seem better as they run through those a lot.

awesome food, meat is tender but crispy at the skin. sauces are basic but go well with the meat. too bad the place serves as storage too. not too much but not a great sight when enjoying such good food. again, it's a detail, because food is excellent and i love the street food style, displaying the different meats

Tried it out for the first time with my wife. She had the bbq and rice platter and I had the combo fried rice. Both were great. We are definitely coming back. Very homey atmosphere 👌

5 stars for their BBQ pork! Chung Wang's setting is small and plain-- you order at the counter, food is served in take-out boxes, and there's tables and chairs to seat about 30 people. I've tried a few other dishes such as the chicken and ribs but was un-impressed. However, the BBQ pork is amazing, and the restaurant worthy of 5 stars for this dish alone. Very tender yet sweet and crispy along the edges. I order it served over rice with a side of pan-fried dumplings. I find myself craving it often! The main staff person (owner?) speaks English well, which is helpful (I think every time I've eaten there we were the only guests not of Asian descent). Give Chung Wang's a try if you're looking for something different than your standard Hunan Chinese restaurant.
