My family and I have been going here for 15 years. We are Salvadoran and and know what authentic Salvadoran food is. I definitely would recommend this place for anyone that is wanting to try authentic Salvadoran food. Food is great, price is reasonable, and staff is friendly. I would say that the wait time is always long, but if you know anything about Salvadoran food, it’s always fresh and that’s why it takes a bit longer to make. I would highly recommend!

This place has some delicious pupusas! I ordered one with cheese and beans and one with chicharrón and cheese. Omg they were freshly made and with plenty of filling. They also have a small bakery inside which looked delicious! I’ll definitely be back again.

Magilis is my absolute go-to in Houston. I've lost count of how many times I've dined here, but every visit only solidifies my love for this place. The service is consistently warm and welcoming, creating an ambiance that makes you feel right at home. However, the true stars of the show are the pupusas – they're unparalleled in their authentic flavors and the impeccable texture. If you haven't had the pleasure of dining at Magilis yet, you're missing out on the finest pupusas in town. This restaurant is a hidden gem, and I can't recommend it enough!

So good! The pupusas are flavorful. They are really filled with cheese! I also loved their chicken sandwich.

Ate here last night for the first time with some friends. Saw pupasas on the menu, but had never eaten one before. You can choose between beef, chicken or pork, and I ordered the chicken pupusa with cheese. The pupusas aren't cooked until after you order, so they are served hot and fresh. Yum! I also tried the red and green dipping sauces - the green was a bit spicy for me, but the red sauce had great flavor. Will definitely be back for more!

Love the food. You just have to have plenty of spare time if you dine in. I usually order to eat at home.

The food is good, the pupusas are probably some of the best in the area. Their Mexican sweet bread is good as well. The only issue is service tends to be slow. Service has never been quick but just know that ahead of time and make peace with it. Good place to sit and chill out eating some good food when not in a rush.
