The staff was really nice. They gave us recommendations of what was good. The food was great. The wait time wasn’t bad at all. We got bolani as an appetizer and a salad. Bolani was tasty and had a little spice. The salad was refreshing. We got the chicken and beef which were seasoned amazingly. I would definitely order again!
This is where we go when I'm not in the mood to cook. The Food, the food, the food, service, quantity and value are spectacular. I didn't know Afghan food was this delicious and I'd take it over any other Mediterranean/ Indian food. It's flavourful, tastes like home-made cooking...like an Afghan grandma with 50yrs experience is cooking. Meat is always tender, falling off the bone. I wish you a long and successful business.
I had bolani, borani badejan, quabili pullow, and Mantoo. The rice with the carrots and raisins is mind blowing, it’s so good with the seasoned rice. I’m very pleased how good the food is and the flavors are mouthwatering. I’ll definitely come back and try other meals. It’s also good price for the portion and how good it is. I didn’t dine in but I observed the place while I was waiting for my meal. It looks really nice but the tables and chairs don’t match the restaurant besides the black chairs and tables on the corner. Also make sure to grab more of the green saunce to elevate your food experience.
First time eating at this location in Katy and I'm glad it's so close to me. The food was really good and the service was top tier. Highly recommend.
The restaurant is excellent, offering delicious kabobs with rice that have an incredibly satisfying taste. The TEKA is outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoy it. Additionally, the waiters are friendly, welcoming, and efficient in taking orders.
We got the Kabuli Pulao, Mantoo and Chapali Kabob. All the food tasted fresh and we enjoyed it. The lamb shank and the chapali kabobs were juicy and tender. To be honest, I think their menu prices are reasonable compared to many other restaurants and you get good quality food. I hope everything stays consistent and the same as time goes by! Customer service was also good. Good to see a location in Katy.

It’s a very first time at Mason’s location but there Hilcroft restaurant we have visited many many times and I should say we started visiting Hilcroft location since 2002 but many managements changed and since last 10 years they are the owners at Hilcroft location at Westheimer and now here.
My daughter’s family visited here last week, so we today visited after their recommendation.
We ordered the same main dishes which we always get from any Afghan restaurant, my major always favorite Beef Chapli Kabab and I specially requested the make Kababs crispy and the taste could reach as per my requirement and I was very satisfied.
Mantoo’s taste was little bit off because of the missing Yogurt and peas topping.
The Bolani was having perfect taste and the naan was very special.
To go order of Challow Kabab (koobideh) was good too.
Overall very satisfied experience.
The food that I order was good. I will try the other food as well. Hope they keep the same quality. I visited the second time and we were happy. I am not Afghan so I cant judge on originality but I had Afghan food in many restaurants. Food here is well prepared and taste also well. A bit spicy for me. Lamb chops, Boolani, Chapali, and Eggplant are the dishes that I will try again in future. I just hope they keep the same quality and attract more people. One of my new favourite places in Katy!
The eggplant curry with naan was so good. We also ordered chicken kabob. The chicken was so fleshy and flavored. overall experience was very satisfied.
HANDS DOWN THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything had really good flavor, and I got full and still wanted to continue eating. Even the plain rice had so much flavor and the manager was very sweet and constantly checking up on us with the order. Food was also fresh.
