Ever since Seed and Bean closed, Kennebunk has been in dire need of a true coffee house/café. I'm glad to say that The Blue fills that niche admirably. With great coffee, pastries, plenty of varied seating space, and free wifi, The Blue will definitely become a regular haunt of mine. Thanks for meeting the demand for a real café in Kennebunk!

Quaint and very clean coffee shop in Kennebunk ME. Attractive decor with options for food, beverage and some retail. Overall was very good. It was setup a little odd, where you ordered from the bar but then you went to the back of the restaurant to pickup food. I had coffee and a bagel. I personally didn’t like that they didn’t put cream cheese on the bagel, but that’s a hot button for me. The coffee was above average. Overall a good spot for baked items, smoothies and coffee. It’s right on Main Street so it’s a great location.

whoopie pie was so good. barista was super patient with my indecision on a latte... but it was super tasty. got the thin mint latte and was not disappointed. took it to the beach to drink it 🥹

Just got back from Blue and they are amazing, super friendly and accommodating. Decor is really cool and of course the coffee is amazing. Also, don't forget the whoopie pie, great way to start the day. We will be back.

I love going to The Blue for breakfast. They make the BEST iced vanilla chai latte and every sandwich is always yummy! Ham and cheese on a croissant is my favorite and the homemade scones are delicious. The staff is lovely and sweet and always try to help and are professional. I like the Mimosa Bar too, so cute! The new renovations really opened the place up, love the decor. Just a happy, lively, busy atmosphere to gather with friends or just start my day. Big fan!

Cold brew tasted great. Vibe was decent. Decent amount of seating. There weren't many dairy free options for food - at least with the pastries, though, so I probably won't be back since I can't get quick grab and go / quick food with my coffee.

One of the best coffee places in town. I also recommend the onion bagel breakfast sandwich. It is pretty pricey tho.

Pleasant staff. Stopped for coffee and bagels, both were pretty good. They had a nice selection of muffins and pastries. We went on a fall morning, mid week so it was not crowded, allowing us to linger and peruse reading material they have on hand.

Stopped in on Sunday driving from Portland to Boston. Everything was amazing! Staff was genuine and helpful. The focaccia breakfast sandwich was delicious, the bread was baked with rosemary and super soft. And a cappuccino made to perfection made it a 10/10 in my book.

Place is busy but the ladies who work here are always kind, patient, and oh yeah make great drinks and food. Nice comfy chairs but also nice spots to hide and work. Plus board games and books if you need some entertainment

Pretty good 👍🏼 I will say they most likely left the prices on the menu out intentionally since we spent $40 on 2 coffees, 1 bagel and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The food overall was pretty tasty and the coffee was “ok.”

I vacationed at the Kennebunk Inn last month and they suggested that I go the The Blue for coffee and breakfast. It was the best choice in town ! The first day I went I purchased several cups of coffee, bagels, danishes, croissants and I can’t remember what else but brought it back to the Inn and gave it to all who I was staying with and they loved it. Next day we all decided to walk over there and enjoyed all types of food and drink. The service and atmosphere was excellent and I even spoke with the owner and learned we have deep connections from were we are both from. A small world we live in . Anyways Kennebunk is a wonderful town and we already plan on coming back next year and when we do I will have my breakfast menu planned for "The Blue" without a doubt 💙

Pastry's were excellent. Ordered coffee and was told it was cold and they were too busy too make a new pot. They made me an Americano instead. Was there for 20 minutes waiting for the coffee. They never attempted to make a fresh carafe of coffee. 3 people working. Otherwise this is an excellent coffee shop.

Stopped in around 10am, parked on the side of the street. Lots of seats; comfortable ones at that. Some nice space for some table-top activities they got there to pass the time. I ordered an espresso drink to go. Idk if it’s dependent on the type of drink I got, but the to-go cups are VERY VERY small. I probably paid $4 for something less than 12 ounces (a typical size small). The espresso was definitely a dark roast with an intensely bold flavor, though the flavor shot I got did not mix well and distracted from it. Overall a very modern-rustic vibe going on inside. I’m also slightly impressed that they offer pour-overs too. I’ll try visiting again in the future, for sure.

Best coffee shops in town: regular, lattes, pour overs, freshly brewed tea. Excellent all around. The muffins and cookies are great but the signature sandwich is phenomenal. And wonderful servers to boot.
