Longwood you nailed it! The changes you made both inside and out (new cafe design and the new outside food and beer garden areas!) are all on point! We are members and come several times a year. We will definitely add more trips this summer and fall! Good work all the way around!
What a beautiful place! The grounds, the water fountains and the flowers so beautiful! We stayed for the fireworks and fountain show and all I can say is WOW! I have never ever seen anything like it! I could not stop smiling it was that amazing! We had wished it was a cooler day it was so hot.
Quality musicians (& talented Shakespere performers), incredible dining (inside at 1906, salmon & flowerpot- ice cream dessert), and dazzling (9:15-9:45pm) water fountain & light show with Beatles songs- accentuated the gorgeous gardens and made a lastly & memorable experience-- for our group (including a little guy, almost - 2, rocking his stroller, to his great grandmother-85, driving the rented electric scooters.) Bravo, Longwood Gardens!

Absolutely beautiful place, so peaceful. I also enjoyed their gift shop!
Longwood Gardens is food for the soul. Refreshing. Beauty in a world of nastiness.
This was my first time and it was an awesome visit. There is about a 5 min walk from the gardens entrance to the restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu had a variety of choices from vegetarian to steak. Everyone was very happy with their order. I especially enjoyed the mushroom soup. Would highly recommend.
I had a wonderful dining experience here. A must stop if you go to Longwood. The food was delicious and the presentation was so cute! Highly recommend the mushroom soup. Mindy was our server and she was the best! I can’t wait to go back.

A wonderful experience of fine dining that you must reserve due to their popular reputation to please. We always look forward to dining there for our anniversary or birthday celebration. A success to impress is the standard there.
Amazing lunch experience at 1906, Longwood Gardens. Staff makes you feel very welcome and our server Iva was exceptional! The Kennet Square Mushroom Soup was phenomenal. It’s perfect every time. The carrot cake flower pot dessert was heavenly; orange and white ganache with cream cheese mousse topped with vanilla ice cream. This is one restaurant you should definitely visit next time you’re at Longwood Gardens. It’s a five star experience!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We visited Longwood Gardens for the day and wanted to stay for the evening fountain show. However, in order to do so we had to remain on the grounds so we decided to eat dinner at 1906. We were blown away by the quality and presentation of the food. The pork tenderloin was probably the best I’ve ever had! And the dry aged steak did not disappoint - it was incredibly tender (“like butta” as my grandma says). Our waitress was attentive and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the grounds!
Important notes: you need paid timed-tickets into Longwood Gardens to dine at 1906; and make reservations in advance especially during the holiday season.
The food and drinks were excellent and the waitstaff was great. We had the Christmas prixe. I had the mushroom soup (not too many mushrooms in it), jailhouse island salmon (lovely presentation), and the chocolate tart (so yummy!).
When I was making the reservations it had asked what was the reason for the visit and I had checked off anniversary. I didn't expect our waitress to greet us "happy anniversary", or to give us a card wishing us both well and signed by their waitstaff, and for our dessert to have a "happy anniversary" sign. Loved the thoughtfulness and attention to detail they took to make our experience memorable.
Very nice! The atmosphere is quiet and food is awesome. I loved the menu with the past, present, and future features. Try the carrot cake dessert pictured below. It is amazing.
We were absolutely blown away at our experience at 1906 at Longwood Gardens. As suggested by the website, we did make a reservation at the restaurant and bought tickets for a few hours before to walk through the gardens. When arriving at the restaurant we were a few minutes early but sat almost immediately. Our waitress, Erika, was incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I both got starters, the mushroom soup (so earthy and delicious) and the summer berry salad which had some of the freshest fruit we've eaten. Our plates arrived and were taken in a very timely manner, the staff was extremely attentive and my water glass was never empty. We ordered the filet and salmon for our entrees, which were cooked and plated to perfection. My husband had made a note in the reservation that it was my birthday and our peaches and cream dessert came with a chocolate happy birthday decoration as well as a lit candle. The entire experience was immaculate and we cannot wait to return to try other seasonal menus. Our time here made for a spectacular birthday experience.
