Each experience I've had here has been wonderful! The moment you walk in, you're met with the aroma of their coffee bean wall. The rotating drink specials offer something out of the ordinary. As a regular specialty latte drinker, it's so nice to find a place that has offerings I've not had before! The service is also friendly and quick!
Experimenting with many different coffee beans for espresso using a manual flair 58. Schuil's Italian roast has produced some fabulous espresso. After just a few tweeks of grind, ratio and dose I've been enjoying an outstanding espresso. If you're a flair user, 16g dose, 30g shot with a slight blum at about 2-3 bars and then 8-9 bars. Lovely

But they also have a great selection beside the seasonal things. The staff is always friendly and welcoming! They are concerned with getting you in and out at great speed. And I love that they are local and have fantastic coffee!

so yummy! I got a cold brew with oat milk, and it's refreshing getting milk alternatives and not getting charged extra :) my friends got a latte and matcha and both also loved their drinks!

After hearing about Schuil from a friend for a while, I finally dropped by to check out their store. They have a wonderful selection of coffee beans for sale, and their drink menu is really nice too. I ended up getting a café miel and a half pound bag of their Sumatra Mandheling beans. The drink was excellent, and I’m looking forward to trying the beans. My friend’s been buying his beans directly from Schuil for years, and he’s had only good things to say about them. I really like the specialty varieties of coffee they have along with the different fair trade varieties. And if you like flavored coffee, they have quite a few different types of that too. I’m looking forward to trying their other beans in the future.

They have been here in the midst of other gigantic companies, simply because they are small, roast their own beans, and are more interested in quality and customer care than growing gigantic.

This is the best coffee shop I've ever been in. They have a huge selection of fresh coffee beans and the staff is very knowledgeable about all of them. They have several kinds of coffees brewed every day or they will make a pour over with their other beans upon request. There is a nice room to sit and enjoy your coffee with good internet.

Great coffee at a good price! I like their stuff better than Ferris. Not quite madcap, but that's my personal preference. Only not 5 star for lack of decent seating area indoors.
I love Schuil coffee company! I came from Columbus Ohio and I felt the warm welcome from the barista! They all were so sweet and kind! Lots, lots and lots of selection! Cute place for coffee and tea lovers! Next time I’m in Grand Rapids, this will be my first stop!
You will find some of the best coffee in Grand Rapids here. I personally love their flavored coffees and they are second to none. Very reasonably priced and knowledge and helpful staff!
Went to get a Christmas gift.. Ended up with some coffee beans for home as well. The smells when you walk in are just amazing!

I first learned about this company through an ad on Facebook. I do love the bean and was fair salivating going through the website. No lie, I spent over $100 the first time I bought from them online and that was with a first time customer 50% off discount. As you can see from one of my pictures, they have SO MANY different kinds of coffee! The flavors are so amazing. I use just a bit of heavy whipping cream and a wee bit of Stevia and it brings the flavors out so well.
And the single origins! I love single origin more than I love flavored coffees and they do not disappoint! I have not tried all of them... yet. The ones I do have are the Bali Blue Moon and the Celebes Kalossi. They are so smooth. So good. How can you go wrong with a good light roast? You can't.
The physical store itself is just great. You walk in and it smells like joy and happiness. The ladies behind the counter were so helpful. I had a pretty big order and they got it out pretty fast. They even recommended a new single origin for me to try.
All in all, I have had nothing but good experiences with Schuil. They've definitely got a lifetime customer in me.
