Reviews Papi's Cantina

The new cantina which replaced Milagros has finally opened and I decided to try it out. Great service and a new menu with some authentic sounding options. I tried out the beef fajitas, tamales and chicken nachos. Overall very happy with the food, will be coming back.

Great patio and even better music but -1 star for substandard margaritas. The Margaritas were only $5 so I shouldn't complain but even for 5 bucks they should not make you make the gas face...

I see alot of reviews on here regarding to sub par service. This is partially true. However, as someone who works in the service industry and this is a new place, some times it takes a little time for a new place to get the "flow" down. On to my own review: I don't like the food here. I LOVE the food here. By far my favorite Mexican fusion food in Kirkland. The salsa is the only thing that throws me off a bit. It's kind of smoky which I don't prefer but taste is subjective. I prefer the clean pico style. Potions are healthy and the margaritas I quite like. The atmosphere is clean, modern and plenty of outdoor seating for a nice day. They are also expanding the menu constantly which is nice. One thing I might note is for whatever reason the service seems to be better in the bar area then on the patio. Just a slight observation but none the less I've only had minimal service issues. Service starts with management. If the management dials it in, the service will improve. I'm not too worried about it.
