My husband and I wanted to try something new for his birthday dinner, and this was rated very highly. Walking into the restaurant was very elegant and a high class feel. We were seated very quickly, it was a bit late-an hour or so before seating ended- but we were still greeted with pleasure. Our waiter was overall fantastic in every way. I asked him what his recommendation was on a sweet wine, he knew right away which one. The wine he chose ended up being wonderful! We got the cheese platter. It exceeded our expectations with the fresh ingredients they pair the cheeses with. Husband ordered the shrimp and scallop day boat, he loved it. I ordered the tenderloin filet- medium rare. It literally was like cutting through butter and melted in my mouth. Perfect sear on the outside with bold seasoning. We also ordered the Mac and 5 cheese, best mac n cheese ive ever had! The salad, while im not a fan of salad, was remarkable! White wine vinagrette paired nicely with the salad. It was light and refreshing! Overall this is the best restaurant I have ever been to and it was the best experience, thank to our waiter!
We were passing through La Crosseand a friend told us about the great patio and view from this restaurant, it is a beautiful patio on the river. Unfortunately it was full, and also a bit too muggy so we sat inside. The food was excellent. I had swordfish, cooked to perfection, and my husband had pork tenderloin, also quite good. Meals included a salad, one of the best side salads I've enjoyed for a while, thanks to the fresh ingredients and a robust, delicious dressing. If I'm back through here, I'll definitely dine here again, and hopefully sit on the patio. 😎

Sometimes I'm not sure what I'm more excited about: my birthday or anniversary or the fact I get to eat at the Waterfront. Nothing makes me as happy as knowing I'm about to experience impeccable service, exceptional food, and an elegant surrounding. The menu allows me to experience food I've only ever seen on the Food Network. The first time I tried escargot I wanted to scream with delight. The servers are amazing- they are all extremely knowledgeable about the menu and can even pronounce everything properly (haha). Before you even enter the building, you're greeted by the warm lights wrapped around the trees and the fountain. Inside, the decor makes you really feel like a VIP guest. But what really matters is the food- and the chefs hit the mark. With proteins perfectly cooked, vegetables re-imagined, sauces perfectly balanced, soups that taste like they have a million layers, and specialty creations like avocado gelato that makes you actually stop and think about what you're eating, I will look forward to every birthday or anniversary for years to come as long as I am lucky enough to dine at the Waterfront.
Lovely place right on the river. We had the nicest waiter, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the key lime pie for desert-save room!
Wonderful experience. The food was first rate, the service exceptional, and the way they treat the military simply outstanding. This is a fine establishment and I would not hesitate to take a client here to make a positive impression. Their focus on locally sourced ingredients and quality of food marks them with distinction. A class act that appeals to all sectors. Bravo! Well done!
I can't believe how absolutely wonderful this place is! The staff are such wonderful people and the menu is beyond everything I've ever had before. The escargot appetizer was the perfect tease on the pallet followed by the Caesar with thinly anchovy fillets and then the 8 oz. fillet was a perfect medium rare sus-vide with a consistent texture like butter all the way through. It was all I could do to pass on desert but my friends tried several selections and how I was still craving that after already being so stuffed is anyone's guess.

Superb! The staff is always amazing, so friendly and professional, and very attentive. The menu is phenomenal, especially the daily chefs choice. Highly recommend for a relaxing evening out!
It’s my favorite place. Any day. Every day. Best sushi. Holidays, birthdays, you name it, you should go to TWF. The staff is like family. Go there, it is the most wonderful place with the most wonderful food and drink. We LOVE it!
I have been wanting to go to the Waterfront for years and decided to go for my 21st Birthday. It was everything I imagined and more. Making resevations was hastle free and prompt. The back room was elegant and lovely. Our service was amazing! The waitress was so knowledgeable and kind. All 10 people in my party were blown away with how amazing food was, everything was perfect. They accommodated to food allergies and impromptu birthday suprises! I will be going back in years to come!
Sat on the patio for happy hour! House chardonnay was delicious as well as the burgers! Well worth the happy hour prices!

Everything was excellent at this restaurant. If you're a foodie you must eat here. Our waitress, Bridget, was awesome. Answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the ahi tuna tartare as my starter and my green curry entree was excellent. A wonderful dining experience right on the Mississippi River waterfront.
Place was fabulous view,food and ambiance and our server Brittany was the best. Will definitely be back
I took my daughter there with family for a celebration after graduation from Winona State. I’ve never been there but was very happy with our choice. Great atmosphere and location. Very nice place with a great, casual menu.
Great food, service, and prices (especially during happy hour when you can get draft beer for $3 and the TWF Burger for $5)! Will definitely visit again, thank you!
My wife and I have been here three times now since we moved from St. Louis to Wisconsin, we love the atmosphere! Its really beautiful inside and if you get a chance to sit outside in the summer months over looking the river its just as wonderful. The food is great and you will pay for it. However the price you pay for the food, whatever drink you decide to have and the wait staff on hand is worth the price we pay to have dinner at this wonderful place. We will go back again and I hope anyone that reads this will go visit also!

This is one of the best fine dining restaurants I’ve ever been to. Fantastic mouth watering dishes. Reasonable prices. Excellent service. I am so impressed!
We don't go here as much as I'd like but when we do the food is spectacular!. It's our special place for our anniversary and we get to spend it with our great friends each year. This year was no exception. The staff were very courteous and professional. They all wore masks, properly, all the time. Our food was served to perfection and was very delicious. They even added a special touch to our dessert.
Awesome restaurant and amazing dining experience. Everything from the ambiance, waiter, food , and drinks was top notch; no complaints here. We went here for our 18th year anniversary and my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves here, we wined and dined for almost 2 hours and were never rushed. Yes, it's a bit pricy but it's worth it! The crab cakes were delicious along with the Old Fashion and best of all, our dessert was on the house. Will definitely go back for our next big date.

We have visited this place twice now & both times have been exquisite in beverages, food & service. On both occasions we have ordered several seafood items & the classic steak & every time they are both divine. Always cooked to our liking (medium rare). The giant scallops & Alaskan King Crab are among our favorites. The wife ordered a Blueberry Gimlet yet probably the only disappointment cause it sure didn't taste blueberry like. The High Rye Elder Old Fashioned was delicious; so much that I ordered another & the wife did too. That's now our go to!
Oh, and tell Lauren she is awesome! Top notch service, knew the menu well and simply great overall.
Best Blood Mary I have every had. It had its own meal. Good hamburger great fries.
