Great little restaurant right on the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean and the Scripps pier. Parking was a bit challenging. You need to try and find parking in the neighborhood and walk to the restaurant. It's a small restaurant but there is a nice size outdoor patio area and more tables inside. Most people are outside to take advantage of the view. That's why we're there after all. Food was good and my mixed greens salad was very fresh. I do wish it had other vegetables on it though. Throw some cherry tomatoes or cucumbers on it? We ordered the chicken salad sandwich and the butternut squash panini sandwich.

I had the Albacore tuna melt and it was Very tasty!! along with that I had a grapefruit Mimosa, and for comparison I I also tried the Orange Mimosa. I believe the grapefruit Mimosa was much better in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and the views of the ocean are amazing! There are many options to choose from on the menu and the prices are very reasonable for how much food is served. I am a very happy and full customer of Caroline's seaside Cafe 😎🤙

Really good spot for a quick bite. The short rib hash was excellent! Eggs a little over cooked, wanted runny yolks, but more on the over hard side. Bagel was delicious! The view from the balcony was great! Don't like the self serve coffee/water as it's a hassle to get a refill every time if you're a coffee power drinker.

I absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing, and the atmosphere was super chill and quiet. Unfortunately, we went on a cloudy day or we would have seen some spectacular views from both the deck and the inside. I would recommend and will definitely revisit when I am back in the area.

So I came here for lunch this week, the views were spectacular. The burger was good but the fries tasted like they had been sitting out for a bit. Lunch rush, so I didn’t send it back. I only took off a star for the service since it took 30 minutes for my burger. Great place!

Caroline's Seaside Cafe is a restaurant with delicious food and a beautiful ocean view. The menu offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I very much liked the tuna melt sandwich. The terrace provides stunning views of the ocean. Considering its location prices are feasible.

Pastries bomb. The food is alright. omelette are the way to go though, so are the mochas. But the view is well well worth it. You definitely come for the ocean view. And come early. The line can be long.

Caroline’s is located on a sunny upper-level balcony, across from the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, with gorgeous views of the La Jolla Shores. It’s a counter service cafe, where you order your food at the counter before taking your number to any table of your choice. The line is always long here, but it does move fairly fast. Definitely carve out some time (10-15mins) to stand in line, unless you order food to-go. Caroline’s is the perfect place to enjoy a casual brunch/lunch with friends and family. The menu features pancakes, egg dishes, sandwiches, pastries, salads, and soups, plus a variety of beverages including beer, wine, mimosas, coffee, Snapple, and more. We enjoyed the butternut squash panini with truffle butter, blueberry pancakes (although these needed a lot more blueberries), and a tuna fish sandwich.

We've been here several times. Mostly when we had out of town guests who would like to take pictures under the Scripps Pier. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean while filling up on some food. Burgers were delicious. Tuna salad sandwich and short-rib & hash were good. Not a fans of their tomato basil soup.

They are always busy.. but the views are to die for and the food is really quite tasty. Dog friendly seating with views of the La Jolla Coast.
