I cannot say enough about this place. It is an institution; a must go coffee house. The coffee, the food and staff are amazing. The vibe from the people that go there is great. Love this place.
I had a great breakfast with Sophia at Pannikin for Father's Day. The Lox Plate was perfect as usual! The Greek Eggs are also a great choice there. Best coffee in town as well. Love V <3

My favorite local La Jolla coffee spot since 1969. I enjoy seeing many of my long time friends before starting my day. Great coffee Great food Great people...
Great coffees and tea! Love coming here with the Triathlon Club of San Diego group after early morning swims at La Jolla Cove.
Good crew and great location, and the history of the place, needs a little live music but food and drink is healthy and good!
Love the place, great coffee and good people! I'll be back.
Breakfast burrito was delicious! Had the chai latte also, so good. Will be back.
It's a wonderful little spot in La Jolla where you can get good coffee, good food, enjoy the sunshine or some shade, and visit with good friends or enjoy a good book. Centrally located downtown, it's been a favorite hangout for locals for generations. It's a coffee house done right.
I worked and then retired in the country of Panama. Always look forward to my morning coffee and oatmeal and sometimes a pastry when I come to the states.
Nice staff, great coffee, interesting people for good conversations great way to start the day.
What a cute coffee shop. It's been around for over 20 years and the place is filled with plants and flowers. There were a couple of walk up windows where you could order your food. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. There's a huge selection of coffees and baked goods along with breakfast items. Such a cool place and you can totally relax with a coffee with enjoying the greenery and tranquility around you. To top it off the coffee and muffins are great.
A quirky and laid back little coffee shop + restaurant near downtown La Jolla that’s been around for years. Their breakfast burrito is great, especially with added beans and avocado. The cortados and americanos are also really tasty.
The aesthetic is pretty cool, it’s very cute, with a lot of wood tables and planters. A go-to for coffee or a quick breakfast when in La Jolla. Definitely beats The Living Room price- and flavor-wise.
Nestled between Pearl Street and one of the best independent used bookstores in America, this place serves incredible food for breakfast and lunch, and has great coffee and tea. Very cute place to dine outdoors. You order from the window and they bring your food to you. Friendly staff and good prices. The muffin tops are unbelievable as you can see from my picture
This coffee shop is not only a café... But a local La Jolla institution!
It is a great place for a well deserved break in your busy schedule, to sit, lounge, and relax... or simply to pick up a delicious goody to eat or drink.
Located in the commercial district of LJ, and very near to the not to be missed La Jolla Cove Park, you can then do some strolling, shopping, and then finish your afternoon immersing yourself in the boundless natural beauty of this park!
We highly recommend Pannikin for sure! Stop by to relax and enjoy!
Ambience is perfect for working. All outdoor seating right now, but there are so many lovely coves, there's a place for everyone. The staff was super helpful and welcoming, made me feel very at home. HIGHLY recommend and I will be coming back.
Great coffee made by hearty baristas. What is even better is the ambiance, a true San Diego experience of outdoor seatings, finches visiting, country and artsy decor with newly painted wall mural draping behind one beautiful tree awning.
Lovely local coffee shop. Has served the community for many years. Coffee is tasty and there’s a lot of cute decoration and plants.
Was going to give this place a 4 because the wait staff kept getting our order wrong, but the place redeemed themselves with amazing coffee. Kudos to the barrista and their excellent espresso pull. Coffee was so good and rich that I didn't even need or want to add milk to it!

This Place is great! They have very Good Organic coffee and some Organic soups from local vegetable. The place is very sweet and cozy. Only internet is for limited time (60min), so it is not really a working place, but it's more a hangout type of place.
I'm not vegan but the vegan bar was awesome. Filled with nuts for just $3.50. The coffee was very good also. Decor is very homey. I'd recommend sitting outside and people watching a bit.
Love their Vietnamese coffee! Decent coffee, their breakfast and lunch menu items are simple and delicious! Great outdoor seating in the sunshine next to a cool old bookstore, close to the farmers markets on Sundays, and not too far from the La Jolla Cove. Cutest cottage/garden setting too!!!!!
What a cute and lovely place in La Jolla to enjoy a cup of coffee on a beautiful Sunday. The whole space looks like a garden house, I love love their shop style. I tried a decaf cappuccino with soy milk and my hubby ordered an americano. I enjoyed my coffee so much. When I ordered my coffee, the staff is so patient and friendly since I had a couple of special requests like decaf and soy milk. The coffee is delicious and tasty. I love it. I had a bad memory about this coffee brand from the San Diego airport, but this location is totally a different story.
Coffee is 100% Amazing!!! I got a vanilla latte and the espresso is incredibly smooth, so so good! However - their food is not so great. I got a breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, & cheese..flavorless, unfortunately. Will try again tho!
We really enjoyed breakfast here, and my husband likes the coffee so much that we've ordered it several times since returning home. We've recommended Pannikin to friends and family when taking their own trips to Southern CA!
Very cute place. Food is delicious. All the employees are extremely polite and would definitely recommend this coffee spot.
Great coffee and great people. If your looking for a calm place to kick back and relax, look no further. I love an early morning Cafe Ole and a sweet pastry. Would recommend to anyone.
Nice local coffee shop that had been saying forever. They have a nice open air seating area in front and cost seating insider
