Delicious and creative

The chefs mix artistic creation with tastiness. There’s a lot of variety in the type of rolls they make and every item on the menu I tried was delicious. Will definitely return.

We visited this restaurant after just arriving in La Jolla and needing some quick but great food. This was just the answer. The service was great and the food was served by friendly staff and was great. Worth a visit

Fun Place!. Fun place to go have some sushi if you're in the UTC area. You won't confuse this place for fine dining, but considering that you're likely going in for a casual meal, you have to frame your expectations accordingly. And for what it portrays itself to be, Nozomi2 does just fine. It's located in the rear of the Regents Park Business Mall and does a reasonably good job of creating an inviting atmosphere with asian-style area dividers, bamboo-themed outside seating and accessible torchieres. The Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box I had was freshly prepared. It hit the spot just fine. Nozomi2 has a wide variety of offerings & I'm sure you'll find something to your liking.

Great kitchen food. I love the tempura udon, green noodles, and other kitchen specials, but the sushi is whack. -.- tons of selections for rolls, so i have to admit they try, but the fish is not fresh and the rice is not seasoned right. all the rolls look very creative but don't taste that great. still i will always go back for their noodles.

Sushi was pretty good. We had to ask three different people to get ginger to our table.

I had the black garlic oil ramen which is great. The soup is not as salty as other Japanese restaurants. The environment is also great. The spicy edamame is delicious.

It’s really a great place for sushi! On top of that the service is very good! The staff is quite friendly as well. We ordered some rolls like Gentleman, California, and Boston and all of them were delicious. I especially like Gentleman because it’s crispy and a bit spicy. 😋 Their Miso is also very tasty. Definitely will come back soon and try other rolls with friends.

Pink Panda roll was amazing, and the samurai roll! The shrimp tempura was good! But I have had better! But still definitely good! This is a great place to eat if you donot want to travel too far off campus!

This place has great food. We enjoyed the yellow jacket roll and the chicken teriyaki bento box. One of the best rolls I’ve ever tried. Great atmosphere and service! We will be back.

Love this place. Been coming here for just over 10 years and the dynamite roll is still one of my favorite rolls I’ve had from any sushi place. It’s a bit more expensive than other sushi places so I usually come here for an occasion like friends visiting from out of town or if I’m celebrating something but it is so worth the money every time!

I absolutely loved Nozomi! It’s such a hidden gem in La Jolla located steps from my office. Their food is always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend you checking them out.

A little hidden gem in UTC for Sushi 🍣 And other delicious food. I recommend the Hamachi Kama the collar of the yellowtail located just above the gills and below the head. It is the fattiest part of the fish.

I like eating sushi always. And what I love more is that different places making different rolls. Even the same type of rolls, different chefs make them slightly different. I love that. This place definitely has a very unique roll we never saw before - Samurai Roll which has a tons of red onion on the top. It’s really interesting. I mean if you like red onion, you will like it. But for me, I don’t eat raw onion so I couldn’t enjoy it. I really like my Girls Night roll. And their vegetables tempura is delicious, it’s not on the menu tho, you can ask for it. Anyways, if you work or live nearby, here is not bad at all to have lunch and dinner.

Had Chicken Katsu Curry. The portion is huge! Chicken Katsu is ok, not the most amazing ones. I don’t think I can complain given the giant portion and low price ($17 pretax).

It is so much an honor for my family to be in this restaurant. I've enjoyed Nozomi's rolls, boat menus, the noodles and even side menus. You will feel at home with their friendliness all the time. I took some photos of dishes little after my kids made some mess.

This is a lovely little place with great service and a wide variety of rolls. Spicy scallop roll was great. Standard spicy tuna. The Girls Night Out and Samurai rolls both had an unusual poppy seed mustard dressing. Definitely unique.

Food is good, the restaurant set up is barely dine in, so more of a hole in the wall atmosphere but I'm ok with that. Definitely not a upscale dinning in any way. But great food for decent prices in SD area parking is not good make sure to take your parking ticket in to get validated or it will cost around $ 5-8
