Overall a 4.5. The pastries were warmed up and served with proper cutlery. The wood tables/chairs/stools were really comfortable to sit at. There is a nice variety of sitting options in the cafe and outside in the tranquil courtyard. Love the earthy and warm decor.

Coffee was great and I loved the space. I Got oat milk latte with lavender syrup. Service was slow.

01-07-2023 Ordered: -Oatmeal Mocha (don’t remember the price)— first time having oatmeal milk. Going forward will order my hot drink with oatmeal milk, really enjoyed it! -Chicken-Pesto Crepe $10.95 — simple but very fulfilling. Crepe combined with spinach, chicken breast and mozzarella cheese were a perfect combo. Service: Pleasant Liked: -Seating areas -Food Note: Shared restroom in the plaza

This place is delicious. The decaf mocha coffe was so good. I had bri bites with pear on toast. It was filling I thought they would be tiny. The açaí bowl was good. Everything tasted delicious. Wanted more açaí and less granola. Maybe an addition of something fun like nut butter or cocoa nibs.

Came by on a Sunday afternoon after noticing the sign while we were walking around. Nice courtyard area. Got a cup of oat mocha and a bag of beans. Mocha was good but the choco sauce was concentrated on the bottom so it got sweeter over time. The espresso shot in it was spot on though. Beans are dark and strong. I was assured they were fresh because there was no roast date on the bag. Crepes must be popular as I saw multiple of them being served while I was sitting. I still remember the little kid at a table shouting "these are the best Nutella pancakes I have ever had!" :)

I ordered a latte and a tiramisu. The tiramisu is a 2/5 super dry and hard to eat cake. Not what I was expecting. The latte was a 4/5, good espresso.

Excellent food, friendly service, and a quiet hidden location makes this one of our favorite places in La Jolla. The only challenge is finding nearby parking, but parking is plentiful just minutes away and it's a reason for a nice stroll through the village.

Cool coffee shop in a great location. ordered 3 drinks: double espresso, skim latte and soy latte. Espresso was dark and smooth with nice crema - 5 stars. Both cafe latte drinks were not up to the same standard - 3 stars... so we'll split the difference at four stars.

Unbelievable coffee. Gluten free and vegan options for donuts and other delicacies that somehow taste even better than the “real” thing. Friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere. This is the perfect place to get coffee.

We came to Elixir looking for a coffee shop to get some studying down in a relaxing environment. Upon entry, Elixir in La Jolla has 4 small tables and one longer table. If you are by yourself, the single tables should be fine for one laptop and a small notebook. For two or more people trying to study, though, the longer table is necessary. We ordered the house drip coffee with a splash of almond milk and an iced latte. Both were delicious and went great with the mid-60s weather. We re-ordered these for the second half of our stay. The employees were nice and let us stay for awhile without making us feel awkward. It wasn't very crowded so that might have played into it. The location is a bit hidden away, so the views weren't great. And some of the ledges were dusty and dirty. Bathrooms are not in the unit so you need to visit a shared bathroom that is part of the marketplace. Overall, a good experience and is a good place to spend an hour or two. I wouldn't recommend this place for a date nor to being your grandmother, but the coffee is good which is the most important part.

Worked from here and it was quiet and not busy at all which was surprising because the service was great, wifi was good and I really enjoyed the coffee.

Wherever I go I always look for the best cup of coffee. Elixir coffee in La Jolla, southern California is one of the best cups of coffee I have had. They also have gluten free donuts which is brilliant for people who are celiac as not many cafes cater to people with celiac desease. Its good to know a relative can now get both a good coffee and a sweet nibble in one place.

I love coffee but I have my favorite capuccino and is here. But is not a regular capuccino, is premium coffee bean, the perfect knowledge to how to make an authentic capuccino. Yummy crepes and delicious gelato. Friendly team and cool European industrial ambience, and more, makes this my favorite spot
