We arrived around 8:30 am and there was no line. The bagels were very good...blueberry, onion, plain and combo. Also had a breakfast sandwich on an asiago bagel. The service was very fast. A great place for breakfast.

I feel like I have already rated this place so I’m not sure why it is asking me again but busy bees is one of the local bagel shops in the neighborhood. I believe it is one of the only ones. It is average. The bagels taste like they are old. They are not fluffy but not chewy or hard either. They are bland in texture and taste. They don’t give you a lot of cream cheese here and when you do ask for extra cream cheese they charge you $2.40 which seems like an exorbitant amount. They are definitely not friendly. However I continue to go back here because the bagels or average and basically due to limited choices in the area I find myself frequenting the spot. The veggie cream cheese is so delicious.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. I’m super glad we didn’t. The bagels are tasty, the fresh squeezed OJ is to die for and worth every penny. Staff was nice and helpful, and their cheese danish are amazing. Their cinnamon bagels are super yummy and they have a very large selection of bagels to choose from. The hubby has had a few of their breakfast sandwiches and he loves them. Highly recommend ... great place that takes Covid seriously. Very happy to spend my money here when I come back to town.

Yummy bagels and fast service, it was not too busy even on a Sunday morning. The tres leches coffee was delicious, I got a sun dried tomato bagel with mozzarell, egg and veggies and I also got an apple turnover. I gobbled both of them up so fast I forgot to take photos! I plan to go again in the future when I visit.

Best bakery in la Jolla !! I love their bagels, tuna melt it's my favorite to go for lunch. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing, and their double chocolate muffins are to die for!!! Overall this is my fave place to go for a quick bite and a nice mocha.

The cranberry orange muffin was so delicious. Almost as good as the 1st one I ever had in upstate New York. That one was homemade. They aren't stingy with their "shmear" on the bagels either. Yes too many vmcarbs in one day. Totally worth it. Oh and the fresh squeezed OJ, yummy.

Best bagel spot in La Jolla/ PB area. Relatively small bagels so I get one with cream cheese and one with bacon, egg & cheese. Sooo good. Fresh squeezed OJ is tasty too.

Bagels were good and seemed home made. The outside seating was over with flys when we went unfortunately, so we had to eat in the car. If you're getting the bagels to go, this place is a winner.

Wonderful selection of bagels and muffins and sweet rolls. Great coffees especially the mocha. They make your bagel as you want and quickly. Lovely outdoor seating.

Plain bagels are their specialty imo. The combo seasoning mix is off and the cinnamon raisin has no flavor. Poppy and onion are passable but really plain is the way to go here

Late Yelp Post (1/23/2016): One of my favorite go-to places for a quick bite to eat in the morning. I love their chorizo burrito, and ham&cheese croissant sandwiches! They make fresh orange juice but it's a bit pricey. My boyfriend and I always come here for a well done breakfast bagel and burrito. He gets the breakfast bagel and I get the chorizo (with egg and cheese) burrito. They are both delicious! I cannot get enough of their freshly squeezed orange juice machine, although I feel like the machine wastes more oranges than needed. Their hot chocolate is also exceptional!
