Reviews Grab And Go Subs

The best sandwiches for the price point, quality of ingredients, and timeliness of preparation. The highlight was the fresh bread with a great crunchy outside and soft inside. I am happy to commit another crime to have a reason to travel downtown to the court house for another chance to hit this place up during the break periods.

Quick lunch spot that did the job. Walked in to order a typical turkey provolone sub and came out within 10 minutes. I absolutely love sub sandwiches and this one didn't disappoint. Bread was fluffy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. I do wish there was more meat but it was still good. Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Value: 6/10

This is a really good sandwich shop. I had the Turkey and provolone, toasted. The sandwich had a great taste but the real show stopper is the bread. The bread melts in your mouth and is a soft on the inside as it is crispy in the outside. If your looking for a good sandwich this is it!

Awesome little sub shop. I had an Italian sub. They recommended it warm so I took their advice and it did not disappoint. It was excellent. Stop by and give it a try if you are ever in the area.

Had to come downtown, wanted a quick bite. This place is a gem. I’m from New York, so a sausage egg and cheese is kinda my thing. It was prepared and ready in about 3 minutes. Everything tasted just right. With the cafè mocha on the side, my breakfast started my day off right.

By far, my favorite sandwhich shop in SD! The Grilled Cheese Feta is my JAM! I've tried to make this at home and it's never the same - I found out, it's their bread! Homemade loaves, made in-house with an old family recipe (so I'm told). Every time I come to SD to visit, this is always a must stop. I've heard their Hot Pastrami, Italian, and Turkey Avo Jack are awesome too!

Food is quality, but the sandwiches are sparsely filled for the price. Better off going to Jersey Mike's

Very good sandwiches. They are open 7-2 Monday through Friday. Within one block from the civic center Trolley station.

I happened to walk into this sandwich shop, oh my one of the best sandwiches I ever had. I was catching my flight back to Dallas so I ate some at the shop, then some on the plane, then woke up the next day and finished my sandwich! yep, a bit soggy, but still delicious! Oh my, I would give anything for the feta veggie sandwich again. It is truly a fabulous sandwich!

Nice staff and a good place to get a quick meal. Decent sandwich, but there are definitely better options in Downtown especially given the cost

Turkey sandwich is the ultimate comfort for me, ratios are always perfect + toppings fresh! Tomatoes are the downfall for many sandwiches but Grab & Go always has firm, tasty tomatoes on their subs. Bread can withstand but not great quality compared to other surrounding bakeries. I do love the Turkey they use here as it doesn’t have weird parts, mixed textures, or slimy film that can happen with deli sliced Turkey. I HIGHLY recommend getting oil + vin on side, way too soggy to travel more than even 2 minutes. Drink selection could be improved too.

Spicy capocola is the best! Mayo on both sides of the bread, switch jalapeños for pepperoncini

Ok so I moved to San Diego back in 2016. I've managed to get a job back in January 2017 that had me travel throughout a lot of San Diego county. But due to starting at 1400 hours, Grab & Go Subs was always already closed. Everytime I passed by this place, I always told myself that one day I'll try it. Fast forward 5 years later, it's my day off and I want breakfast, and I remember this place. I get ready and head out. Let me tell you, I knew I was going to love this place. I ordered the The Italian and oh man, was it everything I thought it was going to be. The bread was toasty and crunchy, the meats were proportional along with the veggies and sauce, and the coffee was absolutely perfect for this breezy San Diego morning. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Great selection, great service, and even more amazing food. This is definitely the type of place if you work a 9-5 job downtown around the area. And it's also a great place to just relax on your day off. I will absolutely be coming back with my lady next time. I loved it and I know she will too.

If you're a fan of delicious soups and sandwiches, this place is a must-try! Their flavors are unbeatable and will leave your taste buds begging for more. The only downside is they're not open 24/7, but trust me, it's worth planning your visit around their hours.
