Just left a brutal review of the “deep dish,” pizza at Lefty’s Chicago as I wanted to compare to my first visit to Rengents months ago. Well, just to recoup my loses at Lefty’s, I made another trip to Regents and glad to say this is the ONLY legit deep dish in SD proper. Enjoyed a meat lovers deep dish and a Manhattan slice. Incredible flavor and burnt to perfection. Daps to your cooks.
I love the meat lovers deep dish pizza. You cannot go wrong here with that piece of heaven. By the way, you can order by the slice and you can order over the phone now as well! And don't get me started on the bar. They have what is on tap on their board behind the bar. Great atmosphere. Go and enjoy Monday night or even Thursday night football!
Mama Mia, our Margherita pizza was Magnifico! We also ordered a large Caesar salad, which was also delicious.
My suggestion would be for them to cut the croutons into bite-size pieces instead of using large chunks.
I was also impressed with the cleanliness of their bathroom.
Overall we had an amazing experience!
Superb selection of pizzas, ran with NY style frankenslice and pepperoni, couldn’t have been happier. Massive beer selection on tap, friendly service and good vibes. Well worth a stop in.
Food is tasty, place is lively. Not much service is involved, as the set up is like a cafeteria, although they'll bring the food to your table.
Best pizza in town and I love how they change the beers here often! Highly recommend Chicago style meat lovers and Dominic’s pizza.
Very busy and crowded. You place your order at the counter, pay, then try to find a table, your food will be brought to you. The N.Y. Pizza was awesome. Thin, with a crispy crust, just like it should be. Skip the Brussels sprouts, they were dry. Mozzarella sticks were great, crunchy on the outside and stretchy cheese inside. Buffalo chicken strips were delicious, but some might find them too hot. Overall: recommend, and will visit again to try the Chicago style pizza.
I was here a few months ago and gave them a fantastic review. It hasn't changed at all. I must mention they change the menu so it isn't always the same... they have tvs in different locations so you can watch football on game days... they also have a unique bar with great beer options. You can also purchase a pizza and cook it up at home. All in all everyone in my family loves coming here. Parking is a problem as there are other establishments on the premises, but that shouldn't deter you from coming here and have a good tasting pizza, salad, beer, wine of your choice.
Possibly the best NY style slice in town. A bit unassuming in a strip mall but don’t let that stop you . Full menu with pasta , appetizers etc . Good beer selection. Great service, average prices .
I have loved this place since I moved here in 2003 and it was still at its earlier location. The current location is great with an awesome selection of beers on tap and excellent food. I really enjoy the Chicago deep dish. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
I am able to get here every once in a while and go for the Popeye's deep dish pizza (spinach and veggie), Nashville hot crispy chicken sandwich and/or chicken wings. All of which are fabulous if not the best in the whole state!! Parking is validated and if the lot is full there is usually some parking on the street not too far away. Don't try to go there on a Tuesday though because they are CLOSED! I did that not once but twice, hahaha. My fault of course but a real disappointment.
Deep dish master pizza -- yum and quickly fills you up. Got the Cobb salad as well which was good. The donut holes were chewy, so probably won't do them again. They were bigger than a bite size too. If less chewy they'd make a nice treat for co-workers.

This is my favorite pizza place in SD (so far) -- sue me for not having any pictures of the pizza, though - LOL!! But, I love Chicago-style Deep Dish Pizza, and this place does it RIGHT! Their beer menu is top-notch, the staff is fun and kind, and I literally haven't had anything on the menu that I haven't enjoyed (probably been there 6 times now). The appetizers are good, and I honestly originally came there because I saw an ad online for their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (which is also good). If I had one complaint, it would be that there used to be someone at the front sort of managing the seating -- telling you how long of a wait you had and all that -- and now it's just kind of a free for all when you come in. They honestly could use more room, but needing to expand is a good problem to have I guess? You may or may not hate the parking situation there, too - depending on what time you come and how lucky you get inside the lot (normally paid parking unless the exit gate is broken, btw -- but I think they can validate parking for you here).
The vibe here is really great! It was my 1st time to visit this pizza place and I ordered a slice of Meat Lovers deep dish pizza. Their deep dish pizzas are good!! My friends ordered NY style pizzas and they looked so delicious as well.
The service here is also very great and staffs are also very kind.
Will definitely go here again!
Favorite pizza spot of all time for me. Hope I get to stop by one more time before I leave. I got a slice of the white and Chicago meat lovers. Both were awesome and didn’t get a pic before I was halfway done with the 2nd slice. I don’t remember the beers I ordered but both were good and there’s a huge selection.
First time going and for sure will be back. Amazing place with a great friendly staff and great selection of drinks.
I always love the beer selection on tap here. The pizza never fails me either. On top of that, it’s a great hangout spot! On a good day (before they run out or close the pasta part of the kitchen), I get the bolognese too.
