Amazing service! Food and donuts are delicious! They had ran out of Champurado when we got there and I didn’t catch her name but she offered to make us more of it because we hadn’t made it early enough to get some. We will always be returning! Thank you again for the Champurado!

I loved this place! I had the Jamaica glazed donut and got a vegan pink frosted donut for my bf. Both were fantastic! This is highly recommended!

Had a lunch meet up with a friend today. She picked this hidden jewel. Didn't know what to expect, we sat in while I noticed there were a lot of traffic I'm and out of customers ordering hot sandwiches and donuts. I ordered a pork Tamale and a horchata. The pork Tamale was very soft and not dry. It was VERY GOOD. I did not order my donuts until I got ready to leave which was a mistake because I wanted the churro donut and it was gone. There were lots of donuts already purchased and gone. You must get there early because it was only 130pm and the shelves were almost empty. The staff was friendly and fast.

If you’re Latinx or enjoy Latinx sweets, this one is for you!! I found this donut shop on tik tok and absolutely feel in love with their food, drinks & aesthetic. My god do they have a variety of options. Their options range from original glaze, mazapán to a vegan glazed donuts. Their vegan options do not diss appoint!! Their staff is so incredibly friendly and always ready to give really good recommendations. They have such cute merch and this cool pink sign that says “Gordita, redondita y bien Bonita” that is perfect for shooting that donut content!! If you need a new donut and aesthetic spot, I highly recommend Barrio Donas 😍🍩

Love this place! The donuts are amazing and live up to the hype. They definitely sell out by late morning or early afternoon on the weekends, so plan ahead. Tortas are great as well!

Horchata is good, asked for easy ice but still got a bit more than half cup of ice. A lot of donuts options including vegan options. They also have savory sandwiches.

I keep coming here for the unique donut flavors but then I tasted the tamales and now they set the bar for every other tamale I try. Tamales are 10/10. Don’t forget the chipotle salsa. Even the breakfast tortas are really good

Their tortas are delicious was well! I've only been 4 times, but the staff already remembered my name and are so polite. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Wow. SO GOOD! Bought six donuts and they were all really good. Cake and yeast donuts. Bought the Gansito, Mi Rey, Churro, Horchata, Jamaica, and Cajeta. Also bought a regular sized Horchata which was really good but too much ice. What I appreciate the most about these donuts are that all the flavors are delicious and well-balanced with no artificial flavoring. Also, the ratio between glaze and donut is PERFECT. The yeast donuts are delicious, fluffy, light, and not greasy. The cake donuts are fantastic and this is coming from someone who doesn't like cake donuts. The Jamaica was surprisingly really good. You get hit with that fruit acidity but it doesn't linger. The flavor is strong but not overpowering without any artificial flavoring. Would get again. The Mi Rey had the perfect amount of chocolate. Surprisingly not too sweet and the chocolate tasted really good! The Gansito was SO good. Perfect amount of jam and vanilla custard to the donut. Wish we bought two of these. Would definitely get this again in a heartbeat. No bathrooms here but a couple of tables for you to eat. VERY nice employees!

I was told that this donough shop was an homage to typical Mexican flavors, so I made the trip that afternoon, but the selection was limited. I was told that they're sold out of their top flavors by 10am. We tried the guava, mango & jamaica. They're definitely more delicious than a typical donut, but I can't wait to try the horchata, mazapan and rest of their flavors!!

Love the gansito doughnut. The tamales are out of this world. Soft, moist, well seasoned masa. Best tamales I've ever had.

Pillowy and delicious! Each flavor was distinct and tasty. We really liked the cajeta, horchata, churro (which is a chorro shaped like a donut, the rest were yeast rd donuts). Definitely want to go back to try jamaica and Abuelita’s chocolate

Donuts here are fire !!! They taste so good. Also the tortas are amazing. My fav is the flan donut. Today I got "arroz con leche" donut & my husband got the "La Nortena" torta needless to say it was all delicious. Definitely worth going to check this place out. Customer service was great! Located in the Diane plaza / shopping center.

Located in Diane Village towards the northern end of San Diego Barrio Donas “represents the multilayered cultural experience that comes with living in San Diego,” and now with a second location in Old Town one might say Jonathan Garcia and Janet Martinez have earned a place amongst the best fried Dough south of Los Angeles. Started in the Garcia family bakery pre-pandemic and still going strong guests are encouraged to arrive early as favorites frequently sell out, Martinez’s culinary skills on display across Brioche that harness childhood memories from Pan Dunce and the flavors of Mexico. Also offering Deli favorites, best saved for another time, it is inside branded boxes that Donuts are carefully packed in flavors ranging from toasted Coconut and Fruit-filled Bismarks to “Mi Rey” with Ferrero Rocher and Macadamia Nuts. Comfortable for dining in, whether with Jamaica or Café de Olla, Barrio Donas’ best bites come from glazed rings featuring Horchata Glaze or sticky Mazapan that comes flavored with Vanilla or Chocolate.
