What a treat. A vendor took me to this amazing place. I’m hooked. The mature waitress was so engaging. They were busy for weekday lunch, but she was willing to help us assemble the most amazing tasting menu the table shared. Again, great food!
Excellent brunch outing with my sister and son. I enjoyed poached eggs and my son had a peanut butter French toast. Quiet but got busy fairly quickly. Mimosas and grapefruit juice was fresh. Would go again. Excellent service and atmosphere.
We finally tried Chula Artisnal Eatery after seeing it on Guy Fieri's DDD. It's homey and eclectic interior provides a great atmosphere for eating. I had the single order of brioche toast, which came with an unnecessary side of maple syrup IMO as it was topped with a delicious cinnamon whipped cream and charred strawberry jam. It was moist and a single order was quite filling. My wife had the Chula fritters and fried green tomatoes. I had bites of each and they were both delicious. We also received a small serving of homemade chips and salsa and it was also delicious. They told us when we said we want to bring friends to call for availability. The service was excellent and so was the Joshua Tree coffee.

Lovely delicious food. I will be back for sure!
This is one of the most beautiful spots in the desert, great atmosphere, the employees are wonderful and they always have a smile on their faces. Food is beautifully presented and the tast and quality top of the top...👌
Our number one pick for a breakfast or lunch experience in La Quinta.
You must work to find this gem; it does not face directly on Washington rather it is behind Louise’s’.
First and foremost, the food is amazing as in so good it defies an easy comparison. It has a depth of quality and flavor I seldom associate with a breakfast/lunch restaurant. We learned that it is indeed chef driven, and it shows. So, off the bat, don’t expect traditional fare. The food and service are at another level. And it is a very good level.
The coffee is great. They have a local roaster brand. The quality is outstanding. They serve cream, heated on the side. They do custom coffees, of course they do.
We had the Heavenly Hollandaise Green Chile Biscuits, which is poached eggs, hollandaise on a green chile biscuit. Yeah, great, and on a bed of greens. Also tried the Brioche French Toast, a sweet delight. Fresh strawberries on the day we were there. By the way they have homemade strawberry jam that is amazing.
Also tried the Green Chile Monte Cristo. Think of a Monte Cristo sandwich made on a quesadilla but then dipped in egg and deep fried. I liked it so much I will have it again. Served with applewood smoked bacon this is really a showstopper.
The décor is unique and very comfortable. Odd matched furniture, soft couches, just welcoming. Lots of things to look at on the walls and very much an enjoyable experience. We found the service to be exceptional. It is not a 15 minute eat your eggs and leave. This is a restaurant, so expect a restaurant kind of experience. And it is not inexpensive. But then it is no cheap in quality or flavor. We have been three times and have averaged an hour or longer each time. I recommend it
So good! I’ve been a few times and am never disappointed by the food, service, or atmosphere. A great local spot.
You had me at Green Chile Monte Cristo! Green chile and bacon quesadilla beer battered and flash fried to a crispy crunch and served with strawberry jam for dipping and a side salad to help you feel better about yourself.
The iced tea here is really special. It's spiced with cinnamon and orange. I highly recommend it. Plus it's refillable which is an added plus. You can also get it Arnold Palmer style mixed with their limonada.
We had a large party of 15 and they were short staffed, but they were still able to seat us and provide great service and amazing farm to table Mexican food and classic favorites with a Mexican twist.
Outdoor seating out front is an option and they have nice misters going to help with the heat. There are lots of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options here as well so it is a great place to go if you have dietary restrictions.
Excellent fresh tasty dishes. Chile relleno and huevos rancheros were both delicious. Super cute atmosphere. Service was slow, but we got there early on a Saturday morning and the single server was doing her best to cover the crowd. She finally got some help about 30 minutes later, which helped significantly.
Great food and all very unique! Very glad I came. Just make sure to get here early for the daily pastries.
Amazing food and Rita is the best waitress!! My family and I just love her and look forward to our weekly breakfast there.
We love Chula! From dining in the restaurant to numerous catering occasions, Chula nails it every time. The food is unique, fresh and healthy. The staff are attentive, smiling and hard workers. We enjoy our visits to Chula!!!

Love it. Mexican artisan food. Setting and decor are nice. Most seats are for 2-4 persons.
Food was not traditional Mexican but still very good. Their take on Huevos Rancheros was good but could use some sort of sauce. The tamale boat was awesome. It was a very cute little restaurant, nice and bright. It was a little hot in there but I am going to chalk that up to it being a small restaurant with a lot of windows so it's ok.
I was impressed with the variety of offerings that this eatery has. My wife and I went on a lunch date. She had the huevos rancheros, and I got the Mexican version of eggs Benedict with turkey chorizo. The biscuits were sooooo good! We ate outside, but inside is so modern and fresh. The service is excellent even when shorthanded. I highly recommend. Next time I want to their specialty drinks.
Stumbled upon this gem waiting for the neighboring restaurant and the menu looked good. And it was...really good. The food tastes as great as it looks. Not heavy, very flavorful. Friendly staff. Scones are done perfect. Joshua tree coffee is delicious, they even froth the milk on the side which was a nice touch. Must try!
Their vegan bowl gives me life!!!! It’s so tasty!! I don’t know what they put in their homemade hummus and salsa, but I dream about it at night. So thanks, Chula, for that unending craving. Love this scratch kitchen!
We've eaten here for both breakfast and lunch. Everything is delicious. Lots of local and organic choices on the menu. Great cup of coffee. Service has always been attentive. Truly a hidden gem in the gem of the desert!
