This week Irma Kusuma was asking about the best Ramen places in town. I was paying attention and noticed Katsu had many likes. Spur of the moment, we decided to meet up there tonight, and wow! Just wow!
I loved all the ramen bowls we ordered. They all had a dynamic flavor and were surprisingly quite different from each other—what a treat!

Really delicious! My husband and I went in not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with delicious food! There's a nice like selection of starters to choose from. They also have a variety of ramen bowls to try. We both tried the pork belly one and it was quite savory. Really nice spot!
Edit: we went there again and brought our godson. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They even gave him some baby chopsticks and he was super excited. Thank you for the good food and the good memories.
We are definitely coming back! This is truly authentic and filling ramen! And the space is cozy and gorgeous.
Love this place! Nice people, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food is delicious. We met a lady the first time we went and she remembered us the next time we came. She was very kind and had conversations with us as she served our food. The food, the prices, the people, and everything was amazing.
Impeccably decorated and fine dining seating was great, didn't like the lingering smell of new paint but that was my only negative impression. The service was top notch as well as the food. Tried several different sushi rolls and was impressed with them all, but the amazing eel sauce was the star for me. I wanted to dip everything in that sauce, it was incredible. Great pricing on the before 3 menu, will definitely be going back soon.
My favorite ramen spot in Lafayette. They have great ramen but I really love their sushi as well. They have amazing fried rolls as well as raw. I haven't had a single thing from Katsu that I haven't loved. Even their appetizers are top tier like their fried squid and creamy croquettes. 10/10 will always recommend.
Love this place. My go to ramen place, the food and staff are always perfect and friendly too! It’s especially nice when your a typical introvert to begin with. This place makes me smile with warm conversations and greetings everytime. Would recommend a million times over!
Very inexpensive for genuine Japanese food. The Japanese curry is pretty good, but get it with the chicken (is my recommendation). The staff is super friendly and the prices are crazy good.

One of the best restaurants to open in Lafayette. If your only experience with Ramen is the cheap $0.25 packs from the grocery store you need to broaden your horizon's and try eating here. My go to is the Spicy Beef Ramen bowl with a strawberry lemonade to drink. Literally have never been disappointed with any order I've had here.
First time going because we usually go to Izumi. NO MORE IZUMI because Katsu is WAYYY BETTER!! Our ramen had so much in it and delicious flavors! Our server was awesome and worked the whole floor by himself. Kuddos to him! He was great! We will definitely be back!
The Spicy Miso Beef Ramen was and Beef Kushiyaki were great! I also had Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream, which was good and not too sweet like most dessert foods. The waiter was very informative and I do plan to go back.
This is the best sushi we've had in a long time!! The Yummy Roll definitely lives up to the name. We will be back!!
This place has the coolest atmosphere, I love taking my friends and family here. The food is never disappointing and the drinks are really good too.
Amazing food and fabulous service! I had the dragon eggs and spicy miso ramen and wish I had more room to try other dishes. Definitely give them a try!
There's a saying, diamond in the rough. This is Katsu Ramen Bar. Tucked away in a little mini mall type line of stores, you'd assume it wouldn't have much to supply. You'd be very wrong. The food was amazing over here (I had the grilled beef curry), had VERY generous proportions, which matched well with the price. The service was incredible as well. The wait staff we had was cheerful and always on point, deserving of the tip. The gentle Japanese atmosphere was also appropriate for the food, and even the business managers/owners were amazingly friendly. If I'd advise one thing in my trips to Lafayette: DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. I would compare its food quality to the Japanese pavilion at Disney World, and that's quite a compliment.
Best ramen place around. Love the ramen and the atmosphere is perfect. Very laid back and chill, but also fancy enough for a nice date. Good selection of sake and the fact that they always have anime playing at the bar is a definite plus for me.
Delicious ramen and starters! Recommend to get a little of everything to try.
