Been going here for a while now. The place is legit Mexican food, so you know its good. My favorites are the tacos al pastor, and the chicken super nachos, but really everything is delicious. Great salsas too. Place has a TV usually with a soccer game on. Looks kind of like a place you'd find in Santa Ana, but here in Lake Forest instead. Definitely the place to go if you're feeling real Mexican food.
After me and my friends saw the Avengers at Laguna Hills Mall last night we came here to get some food. I had never been here before. I ordered the Super Nachos with Steak. It was good. They had everything on it. No complaints here. I am a nachos connoisseur and was pleased with what I saw.

OH YEAH! Taco stop! I have been calling this place Taco shop for the longest time, but this time I'll get it right. I guess blame it on the alccc alcohol baby. Is there really anything better than a 24 hour Taco place in Laguna Hills? Living in the Irvine and Laguna area mostly everything closes by 8pm and probably the average residents bed time is 7pm. I guess we don't live in an urban city so we miss out on late night places to statisfy our cravings.
Recently, I ordered a carne asada taco with steak nachos. Wow was that a lot of food. Before this place Los Primos had my heart when it comes to nachos, but Taco Stop beat LP out for the number one spot. I like the attention to detail. My chips actually looked like a nacho platter and less like a handful of chips with tons of toppings placed on it. I hate when nachos have everything piled on and the bottom has empty chips. Taco Stop makes it so that nearly every chip has something on it. That is the best way to layer the nachos. My eyes were bigger than my stomach because the 5 dollar nachos were filling, but I managed to finish the gigantic taco. The tacos are very large for around two dollars. These will blow your Del taco snacks out of the water. I probably could eat 7-8 "King Tacos" from King Taco, but realistically only about 4 or 5 of the Taco Stop tacos.
How can this place get anymore authentic? I walked in and nobody was speaking English except for my friend and I. That is always a good sign. Just like when you go to a Chinese restaurant and don't see Chinese people RUN!! **cough* PF -crap-Changs. Only the pico de gallo was mild and all the other salsas were spicy. Great sign of good food when the Salsa Verde doesn't taste like water and more like spicy :). Nothing beats loud Mexican music and soccer on the big screen. I not a fan of either, but its a small escape to paradise pour me a margarita and I will imagine myself on a Mexico beach.
Yum I want Tacos now just writing this review. Highly Recommend Taco Stop! It is a bit hard to find at first so look carefully. It is hide next to a Paintball shop right across from the In-N-Out at the Laguna Hills Mall. Please make a TACO STOP on Avenida De Carlota and DO NOT waste your money at El Torito down the street. El Torito is good, but feels more like Mexican Denny's than a down and dirty hole in the wall Taco Stop. Ok its not dirty there. Just an expression. Cheers!
I honestly miss working in Lake Forest solely because of this place. It is exactly what you want when it comes to fast, greasy, and utterly delicious Mexican. There were so many mornings I rolled into work with their hueovos ranchero and made the whole office jealous.
Amazing stop little cozy perfect tacos I go there for al pastor tacos , very nice owners .. And it's open 24 hours
