Had lunch today snd the fiod was really great along with the best server around. It is denefinately a 5 star. Note: they do not give military discount, even on Vets Day tomorrow.
Went to Ken's on Valentine's day. Ribs were awesome! Fries, cold slaw & garlic toast, very tasty. Baked beans were only fair, seemed over cooked. Sweet tea was a nice brew. Ribs were so big & meaty that I only was able to eat 2 of the 6. Had the rest for dinner the next day.
Husband was craving BBQ on our road trip. Found this wasn’t too far off the highway. Tiffani was very personable and a good server. We had wings to start that were really good. I don’t normally like breaded ones but the breading was a nice thin layer and very crisp and tasty! My husband had the pork sandwich and I opted for the beef. It did NOT disappoint!!! Delicious! The sweet tea was fresh and perfectly sweetened! We would go out of our way to eat here again!
One of the best barbecue restaurants I have had in Florida. I had the sampler platter so I was able to try all of their meats very good flavor. Their sides also very good, we had the onion rings, french fries, fried corn on the cob, green beans, and baked beans. Service was Excellent and quick, pleasant and friendly staff. Prices are fair especially for the amount of food you receive. We will be back for more.
Comfort food for 40+ years. I still enjoy the familiar sights and intoxicating smells that I remember as a teenager many years ago. Most of their various locations are now gone but this location continues to serve the same great BBQ that Ken's has always been known for.
Great service. Good food. BBQ beef sandwich and corn nuggets are great. Good sweet tea. Lots of seating.

KEN'S BBQ:
I have eaten a lot of bar-b-que over the years and I guess I'm lucky because I don't think I've ever had any "bad" bar-b-que! But Ken's is #1 on my list. There are things that make certain BBQ restaurants stand out for me, for instance: Restaurants that have personable and efficient staff; Employees that actually remember you and bother to know your name; Recipes that make for that consistent taste and flavor that keep you coming back for more. But most of all, I love that you see the owner and their family on the floor, with rolled up sleeves serving, busing tables, cashiering and working along side their employees to accomplish the job at hand. It speaks volumes about the values and commitment of the owners. Also, ALL THE FOOD IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS! Dine in or take out!
Maybe I'm biased because I have lived in Lake City my whole life and I can't even remember Lake City without Ken's BBQ.....In fact, I don't want a Lake City without Ken's BBQ!!

It has been a long time since I have stopped but was pleased that both the quality and quantity of food remains the same. Ms Katie is still there and she's amazing!!
