We went up for their Thanksgiving Day Buffet. It is on the hill above the beautiful Lake Rabun. The staff from the moment we walked in the staff was friendly. the food was delicious - from the carving station to the Trout and Salmon. Yummy! Our waitress, Taylor, deserves a special mention. Her attentiveness and friendliness was exceptional. She made our visit one of the best experiences we have had at any restaurant. We love the area, the restaurant and the people. We plan to return there at our first opportunity.

Fantastic B&B. Beautiful views and great breakfast. Staff were very friendly. Bathrooms are small and bedrooms should have charging ports somewhere. Remember this is a rustic, older B&B so don’t be alarmed if you see an insect. This hotel is right by the woods. We enjoyed the fireplace and restaurant. I would definitely go again.

This was our first time staying at the Rabun Hotel and we loved it. I made reservations for dinner on Saturday night and it was a great night with, great food, exceptional service and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was so accommodating and kind, especially Diana at the front desk and Robbie at the bar. Great folks! The Hotel and our room was clean and cozy. The Hotel is beautiful and full of charm. This might have been our first time but I hope it's not our last.

Everything was so delicious. Husband is still raving about the shrimp and grits. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try. We will definitely go back anytime we are in the area.

We stayed one night in the Inn Keepers Cottage. It's a great space with it's own living room and kitchen. You'll also love the semi-private front porch that overlooks it's own woods away from the front of the hotel. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant in the evening and loved the breakfast the next morning. You must try the pimento fritters with jam if you stay for dinner (or just get the fritters sent to your room as an amazing snack). The hotel is away from any major town so if you don't eat dinner with them, there aren't many other options. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lake, already planning a trip back!

Rustic and cozy feel throughout the hotel. Each room has their own unique appeal so much that it was difficult to choose which one. We opted for the Garden Room because of the private deck to enjoy the mornings and evenings on. Breakfast was just like my grandmother used to make so it brought back some memories. Dinner in the restaurant was an explosion of flavor. Our favorite part were the pimento cheese fritters and jam!! Our stay was a total package of hospitality, comfort and delicious meals. Thank you to the staff and we will return.

My husband and I had a blast in this bed and breakfast hotel. We booked the room knowing about everything. The hotel is 100 years old, very rustic, and there is no soundproof between the rooms. The majority of the guests are consirable and don't talk loudly and don't stay up late. So we had no problems during our first night. Our last day was tough because we had a young couple staying in the room next to ours, and they were drinking and talking super loud all night long. They probably didn't know about the place sound issue or didn't care about others. The breakfast was delicious. We made reservations in the restaurant for our first night, and it was amazing. All the staff are all very friendly. The area is absolutely beautiful. If you are not picky, you will love this place.

Lake Rabun Hotel is a wonderful place to stay when you're taking a trip to the North Georgia mountains! The rooms are distinct and each one comes with a different theme. On the main level, there is a media / TV room, a cozy gas lit fireplace with seating all around, and an entire restaurants and Bar. Plenty of seating on the outside decks as well and I got to enjoy the warmer than normal February temperatures outside on the decks. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to whatever needs you may have.. just ask! Coffee and Tea are available on all guest-room floors and a microwave and refrigerator is also available for guest use (I wish I knew this before I arrived)! Although I came in the off season in February, I really enjoyed relaxing and disconnecting from everyday stresses. If you do come in the off season, keep in mind that many restaurants and stores may not be open (But Helen, GA has many places open all year round and is only about 30 mins drive). If you come anytime from May through September, everything should be open and available for the peak season. Highly recommended for a quick weekend stay or even longer!

What a wonderful little treasure up in the mountains! There is so much to say about this hotel, from the warmth of the decor to the friendliness of the staff to the food, it was all great! The rooms are small but really all you need to lay your head at night after a day of adventuring around the area, and the breakfast offered every morning was always delectable and energizing. You can really tell the freshness of the ingredients used, the grits were to die for and I wish I had asked for the recipe! Dinner was another amazing experience, our waitress Kaylee (I think) was top tier. We could easily tell she was high level from how she handled herself and the dinner service. The pumpkin seed covered brie was a highlight. Overall, it was a great stay at in a beautiful part of Georgia and we can't wait to stop by again!

Our group of fifteen had an excellent three-day stay at Lake Rabun Hotel. Every member of the staff was attentive and helpful. The common areas were perfect for our gathering. The rooms were refreshingly unique and comfortable. The restaurant's staff and menu were far above almost any dining experience these days. All of this in a hundred-year-old boutique hotel tucked into the North Georgia mountains.

We booked for the New Years weekend and are so happy we did! The food at the restaurant is delicious! The five course New Years meal was incredible as well and the farm to table breakfast every morning is something I will think about daily for months to come. We stayed in the Moonshine room and short of being spooked by a few bug buddies (really no big deal, it’s a historic hotel after all) we have zero complaints. The rooms were cozy, the amenities incredible (especially the coffee machine in the common area). There is also so much to do nearby from hiking to horseback riding. Thank you for an incredible New Years weekend!

Beautiful, peaceful place in the mountains! Rooms are not large but are very comfortable. Love all the deck areas to sit outside and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Staff is so helpful and friendly! We loved our stay!

Lovely hotel with a delicious breakfast included each morning! Staff members were all friendly and helpful. Location is convenient to all that the area offers. It is an easy drive to shopping in Clayton, waterfall hikes in the area, horseback riding, and more. The rooms are rustic and quaint with en suite bathrooms. It’s set up like a lodge or European B&B with smaller bedrooms but larger common spaces for a community feel. Bring a book and sit by the fireplace or out on the porch, depending on the weather. Definitely plan to eat dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was stellar.

Interesting place in the middle of somewhere close to nowhere. Loved the building and the staff. Room was small but then humans were too 100 years ago. Maybe 10X12'. Dinner was outstanding. First time visit. I'm glad I arrived while the sun was still up because the road in, in the dark, would make you question your life choices. How this place has not been used for a movie set I have no clue. My selection of the Hotel was the high light of my selections on this 9 days trip. Facility would be perfect if they had Dock space or decking on the Lake.

Only came here for the restaurant but it was absolutely fantastic. Took the wife out for her birthday she got the airline chicken and I got the lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was very rustic and reminded me of back home in rural NH. I would for sure come back again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing romantic getaway
