Food was delicious. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable . Was there on a lunch break, food took a while to be served , though very busy as well. I would say if you are there during a peak time , have a little patience . Otherwise , great food. Definitely recommend.
All of you who have said you dislike or your disappointed with the Greek cafe, you have lost your minds. This place is the best Greek food you'll get anywhere then actual Greece. The reason for the wait is because they take there time to perfect your food. Pita must be heated on grill so it won't fall apart while you eat it. All other places use a microwave. Your choice. And for your wait on pizza, it must run through the baker 3 times and they make everything from scratch. So next time you think your waits to long or foods to pricey, think about how elaborate your meal is and the care and time they put in to preparing it everyday.
The restaurant has moved to 10924 Bridgeport Way and is now (2/3/2011) offering table service. The menu has also changed somewhat but the staples remain (gyros, pizza, souvlaki, etc).
The Greek Cafe' is like a special gathering place for my family. We love the cafe' so much, because we never leave unsatisfied. The food is savory and has the perfect amount of sweet & salty. The waiters feel like friends and they give off a great kind affect on us. Although, my family and I haven't been there as much, due to our busy schedule, we still love it there.
My wife and I love Greek food however there isn't a good place near us. We tried Greek Cafe today and it was wonderful. Their Gyro is huge and their Taziki (forgive my spelling) is great and you get a large portion in the appetizer plate. Overall a great experience and we will be back!
My husband and I have had greek food in many places. We love the the Greek Cafe'! The gyro is always yummy! We have never had a bad experience. Don't let the location or interior put you off, this is good Greek food.
Delicious! Portion size was pretty big (regular beef/lamb gyro with side salad) and barely finished the salad. Everything was fresh and quite tasty. Restaurant is very clean and staff was extremely friendly and provided good service. Will return for lunch again.
Went to Johnny's Greek cafe before the move. Loved that place. After the move and name change the Greek Cafe was horrible. Rude serving staff bad food(place moved into an old Skippers seafood place so smelled of fish). Swore I'd never eat there again. Few years pass and I decide to stop in. SOOO glad I gave them a second chance. The food is so much better and the service is second to none. I love this place. Stop in at least a couple of times a month to have a meal.
oh gosh what can i say, the food was amazing, we loved everything about it. the service was great and the food came out quick. Its kind of a little hole in the wall. The portions are huge for the price you pay for, its well worth the price. I have never tried eggplant hummus, and its the only place ive seen that serves it, so good
Basic layout but once you try the food you won't even care :-). The meats were seasoned wonderfully and the portions were awesome. Staff was incredibly courteous and we never had to wave anyone down at anytime. Go here before any of those chain restaurants. They definitely deserve your business.
My fiance and I came here for the first time tonight and had a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food is excellent and well priced. The Greek Cafe will definitely become a regular lunch/dinner spot for us!
