Super burgers. Leo's is loud, dimly lit, and overpriced--but they also serve some of the best burgers in town. Once I've had the first bite, I don't care about the atmosphere of the place or how much I'm paying. The olive burger is delicious and the bison burger is so amazingly flavorful exactly as it comes. My friends rave about the grinder sandwiches, but I never seem to be able to leave the burger menu.
Decent. Leo's Outpost has a lot of things going for it, and some things working against it. It's in a nice location (unless you hit the train going to the wrong way) with plenty of parking, the waitstaff are always very friendly and well-trained, the decor is the right amount of kitschy and the food is delicious. The two things I don't like about the place are the drink "specials" are expensive for what they are (don't even bother buying most alcohol here if it's not on special) and the food prices are a little more than they should be. This place is great otherwise, just a tad too pricey for what it is.
Good food. Smokey and loud atmosphere. Prices were reasonable. I would go back.
Excellent food, great service and friendly atmosphere. I'll be going back soon!
Caroline our waitress was great the food choices were great the food taste were great the food prices were great the atmosphere was great the margarita was great!
First visit here. I had the wet burrito which was real good. Lots of meat & beans and covered with sauce & cheese. Two of my kids had cheeseburgers & fries which they liked. Third kid had the chicken wings which he said were the best he's ever had and that's saying something as he gets wings everywhere he goes. One other thing I like is the size of the glasses for soft drinks / water. So many places you go to the glasses are so small and you drink it quick. These were large and we needed fewer refills. Weird I know but it's one of my pet peeves. Our server was Audra (might have that wrong) and she was fantastic. She was very prompt, attentive and friendly which made the visit that much better. She got everything we needed and with kids it's always something. In all we were real happy with our lunch and will definitely go back.
The food was delicious and the restroom was very clean. This was my first visit to Leo's.
Ordered a cheese bread and order of onion rings. Called ahead to order pickup to go but they told me over the phone they aren't doing take out orders anymore. A real bummer when you've been working in the sun all day and your hungry and just wanna go home and eat and rest. So that was a downer.
But the food was definitely good. Onion rings were really good and cooked right. Host told me they only have one cook working. One only, period. So lack of staff causes these issues I guess and is a huge inconvenience. But food was worth 4 stars at least.
LOVE THIS PLACE OUR FIRST TIME. Best olive burger I have every had. Beautiful atmosphere and inside. Wait staff was friendly and spot on. Wish we lived closer...we would definitely be regulars. Hubbys bison burger was also amazing. 5 stars.
Food is very good! Had to edit. Went there for lunch on 10/18/19. The place was packed and only 1 table available. I had a waitress named Michelle S. She was the best waitress that i have ever had anywhere! My family never had to ask for anything because she was right on top of everything! She was absolutely amazing!
Delicious home style cooking with a fun country atmosphere. Great service and friendly staff. A fun place to go with friends or family for lunch or dinner. Occasionally it is a little loud in the restaurant and it can be hard to have a conversation over the noise, but it's still a great place to go.
Pretty good establishment. Menu has a lot of options, though I wonder if it's too many to do each one of them well. I had the fish and chips. The french fries were the standard, frozen type. The fish consisted of four small battered patties. They are very similar in size and shape to Gorton's frozen battered fish fillets you get the from the store. It tasted better than expected (B+). The service was very good: friendly; quick; polite. The venue has a relaxing, up north vibe. I'd return.
We had a group of about 25 call to ask if we could get in on a Saturday night...and by the time we arrived everything was set up for us and we were met with smiling faces (not the "great, another large group with kids" annoyed look). Our waitress was amazing...friendly, nothing mixed up. We were a huge group, so you can never expect speedy service...but the food came out ALL together. If you are looking for a place we good food, a warm/cozy atmosphere and great staff that know what customer service is...this is the place!

Went there for lunch. Waitress suggested the prime rib sandwich and fries. Hubby and I each ordered a sandwich. We both had 1/2 left, enough left for supper. Sandwich was very good. Asked for crispy fries and they were not crispy but they were good. Waitress was attentive.
This place has excellent food, reasonable prices and friendly waitstaff. Our first time here definitely not our last. Had the walleye dinner the fish was soooo good. Breading was light and very good. Not some cheap Breading not over breaded. We were extremely impressed by our visit and will be looking forward to our next visit.
Owner is actively involved in day to day operations.
Love this pace for the atmosphere and the service is always great. Some of their food is awesome and the rest is just ok. The crab soup is delicious, every seafood lover should try it. The Mac and cheese was ok but a bit bland. Also the patio seats are all wooden which is pretty uncomfortable. But all in all we loved our server and usually still have a good time, I would always recommend Leo's for a fun night out.
Man oh man that bison burger was amazing! 1st time having bison and was definitely not let down!
I do have one question though, the meat was a smidge on the dry side, so is that a bison meat thing? Super lean? Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the whole burger with a huge smile on my face as the dryness wasn't terrible by any means. Also the meatball sub was fantastic as well says my daughter. She loves those things.
The atmosphere there is part "wood lodge" with some nostalgia thrown in. We rather enjoyed our visit there and when we visit Michigan again we will most definitely go back. Our waitress was awesome. I apologize that I do not remember your name though.
Anyone traveling through this area needs to give them a try for sure.
Good food, great staff. Michelle is the bomb, best server ever. You know she is busy but spends time with you and doesnt make you feel rushed. Great place for lunch... but get there early, Michelle's section fills quickly. ;)
I like the atmosphere, service is always great, and other than their tendency to overcook the burgers, the food is really good. But to be honest, none of that matters, because this place deserves more than 5 stars just for their garlic cheese bread alone. It is beyond amazing!
Nice rustic log cabin feel inside. Self seating when I arrived which is great at slow times. Had a very nice happy hour menu, which I chose from. The loaded tots, had lots of cheese, but were potato tots, not extraordinary. The hamburger although seasoned ok, was just good as well. The service however was great. My server was a tall friendly guy with blonde hair, Dustin! He was awesome. Ask for him and you’ll have a great time.
