We came here with a fairly large group (7 adults, 2 babies) on a busy night so our wait was pretty long and we ended up being sat at two different tables - I probably would have been alright with going somewhere else at that point, but I’m glad we stayed. The food was great and when mistakes were made, our server and the cooks were quick to correct them. The atmosphere is nice and cozy albeit a touch bland. Prices are pretty high also.
Very pleasant meal served in quaint neighbor establishment. We had prime ribs with salad and steak wedges. Excellent service, too for a busy Friday night.
Last night 8/4/23 Service number one was AMAZING we had a party of 20 and she took great care of ALL of us! Ordered my prime rib medium and it came out RAW inside! I am a chef so that tells me they are not testing temps, because mine was easily at 120-130 inside instead of 145 ish and that's not acceptable for a restaurant!! Brought it out again after deciding to cook to the proper temp and it tasted OK nothing to write home about (I've made prime rib it is all in the quality of meat--I bought from Kroger and it was of a better quality) Would have preferred my salad not so watery and more steak fries as a side but at least the fries were real potatoes vs what I've had in other restaurants lately
So PLUS PLUS 5 STARS on our server+service I overtipped her bc she was GREAT and the fries
3-4 stars on the food itself nothing I would make a point to go back for
My boyfriend and I ate here on my birthday. I wanted steak. I certainly got what I wanted. It was the best steak I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection, tender and so yummy! The service was great, atmosphere was good...it was pretty quiet the night we went...not seriously busy..
Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere!
The food, service, and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere are a great place to catch up on things on the way home from GRR Airport, or Sundays when we're looking for an independent, non-corporate establishment. Specialty: steaks, including above average wine selection. My steak salad and the breaded mushroom appetizer are always done to perfection. Jumbo fried shrimp and grilled salmon are always a hit, too! Thanks for being there, always. Cheers!!!
If you want a good steak, head to the Airport tavern. We enjoyed it very much. I had a ribeye, which was very good. He had a New York strip which was good as well. The service is good and the atmosphere very friendly and enjoyable.
Oh my God, that food was amazing! Everybody that was Maurice all the way through the chicken and the steak. Found our new weekly spot! Not to mention, the waitresses are on point. I don't think I had to ask for anything!!!!
A guy I work with recommended the ribeye sandwich and we were not disappointed- I was thinking it would be a shaved beef kind of deal but it was not- it was an actual while ribeye laid on two pieces of Texas toast - very good! Nice atmosphere, keno for those that play and the only thing I didn’t like was the fries - wrinkle cut or whatever. Not a fan of the fries!
We’ve been here at least a dozen times in the last few months. In the more than 35 steaks ordered, only one of them was served off temp. They fixed it in five minutes. Easily the most consistent well-priced steak in town.
