My daughter and I had a wonderful meal together there, the lobster was amazing and fresh. I enjoyed my steak. The ambiance really made the experience unforgettable for her 14 years in life. I would definitely recommend the experience with a flavor of the west and great seafood. Update: Pat & I shared the shrimp cocktail that was out of this world! I normally do not eat seafood in Wyoming but this was fresh and amazing!
I have eaten here numerous times. They took a reservation for my giant family on game day when no other restaurants in town would. The service always exceeds my expectations. Staff are friendly and the food and drinks are never to disappoint. Once for my graduation party they surprised me with a chocolate drawn cap and gown! I highly recommend this place!
The Cavalryman did not disappoint. The mushroom appetizers were excellent, the soda bread and honey butter delicious. The steaks (ribeye) were the best I've had in a long time, way better than that roadhouse place! Then dessert creme breulee with black coffee was the perfect finale. The Irish dancers on St Pattys day were a great treat for all. Thanks Cavalryman!
Ate here today on our way back to Texas frm Cody, Wyoming. Chase was our waitress and she could not have been better. The food was great and all the employees very friendly. I would def recommend this place to anyone.
This place truly exemplifies rustic Wyoming elegance. The new ownership has done wonders. We received truly exceptional service from Tyler our server and mouth-watering food from their great cooks. Would like to see a little more local or even wine from the region on the wine list, but all in all, this is the best place to get a steak in Laramie.
Great place! The "small" ribeye was huge. All the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was just what we out-of-towners were looking for. Too bad we live 1700 miles away. Probably be a while for a return visit.

Traveling all the way from Houston. Needed a place to get a good steak. We were well taken care of. The appetizers were delicious as well as the main course.
Tried Mushrooms, Calamari, and Bison meatballs to start with. Had their locally sourced, grass-fed, tenderloin steak. And finished with their huge bread pudding.
Will visit again when in Laramie again.
We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was phenomenal! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing from appetizers to desserts! Their wine list is exceptional. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The soda bread and sides were perfect compliments to our entrees. Loved the casual atmosphere and are looking forward to visiting again!
We were on a Road trip from LA to Nebraska and we happen to stop in this little town to spend the night and have dinner in Wyoming....we were looking for a steak house and ended here and I'm glad we did..... The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable in everything. especially the General manager she was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable but most of all social and friendly she recommended us what to eat,.... the best..... the Bison and the beef rib eye! They were very very tender and juicy super flavourful our favorite one was the bison! They have their own barbecue sauce and it was the bomb! I had never had a barbecue sauce like that, I highly highly highly recommend this place 👌
Cavalrymen was a nice surprise after a long Drive from Denver. Everyone was friendly and courteous and accommodating when I asked for horseradish. For a steakhouse it wasn’t the best steak though. Good taste but very sinewy but not so bad I wouldn’t want to go back.
