Great experience and excellent service. We stopped into this small family styled diner for lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered. I would not only return but recommend Maria's Silver Spoon for great casual neighborhood eats.
Good little place. Although Bob will forever be missed, I really like what Maria has done with this place. Still has that small town feel when you go in. The staff is mostly new, and that is not a bad thing. Bring one or the other of my teen age boys there almost every Saturday morning for breakfast.
Keep it going, your doing good.

The only reason he is trashing the restaurant is because he was a former employee. The restaurant is now wonderful that he was fired. As far as the waitresses smoking cigarettes, God knows what you must smoke...As far as being a cook, you can't make a race horse out of a donkey and that's what you are! So don't throw stones when you live in a glass house you moron wowww
Chia is a ray of sunshine and awesome service. For $7.29 i had the veggie omelette with grits and rye toast. Was really fast. I couldn't have made this at home quicker and better and I'm not shabby in the kitchen. Well done ladies including the chef!!
Seriously just had the best coffee! The food was great and very filling. I loved the quaint diner feel. I'll definitely be going back soon.
As expected. We found this little diner on a Google search for "lunch." We prefer not to go to chain restaurants, and have a tendency to hit these small places at non-peak hours.
We walked through the door at 1:40, and were greeted with a worn black & white floor, with black, red & white decor. It made me smile - we had found a real diner and not just a lunch joint! We were greeted by the server - very friendly, a person who has never met a stranger. She reminded me of Flo from Mel's Diner. The drinks were quick and cold (fresh iced tea!), and we both ordered the special of the day - mushroom swiss burger with fries & slaw.
The burgers were huge! at least 1/3 lb, probably closer to 1/2 lb. Cooked and topped perfectly, on a fresh roll. The steak fries were hot and crispy with no seasoning (my preference - so I can add my own). The slaw was cold, but plain. It was good, there just wasn't anything special about it.
Atmosphere: 4/5 (would like to go again when there are other customers)
Cleanliness: 4/5 our area was clean, bathroom was clean, no lipstick on cups
Service: 5/5 Super attentive staff, but not over-bearing
Food: 5/5 for diner-style food (would like to go again when there are other customers)
BONUS: they deliver nearby!
We like this gem of a diner and go at least once a week. Hubby loved the hash brown's and corned beef hash he ordered today and my Greek omelet was the best EVER. Portions are a bit large but the friendly servers are always ready to bring a takeaway box. Good atmosphere, nice staff, good cooking, quick service and good prices.
Maria's Silver Spoon is a wonderful gem hidden away in plain site. Great food Maria is a warm friendly person. The food is the best & extremely reasonably priced. It's like Cheers, everybody knows your name!
Recently reopened under new ownership in November. Menu overhaul (keeping the old favorites) & a completely different change in decor. Only had pancakes so not much to say about the food. Try it & see for yourself & best of luck to the new owner, suggestion though, the new decor is nice but part of the atmosphere was in the warm kitchy colors & decor (bring some warmth & friendly touches back). 😉 See you next time we're in town.
This is a must have in Largo! The food was delicious and the serves was great. The owner was very kind to come over after we ate to how are meal was. I would definitely suggest the biscuits with sausage gravy and homefries!!! My husband had a burger and the stuffed pepper soup which he really enjoyed. We can't wait to come back next month!
