Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had, the Southwest ARS it’s finest! The service was wonderful, you must go!
I've been going there since the day they opened and never been disappointed . Great food and service . The best rib eye steak in town !
I got a bowl of red chili to go through their drive-up window.
It was great---even came w/ sopipilla & tortillas!
I can't wait to be in that area again---imma try to be able to go inside for a sit-down meal! 😃😉👌
Always great food really fast. I love testing all the salsa choices! At Chili's you order a beef burrito and it's 75% rice! Here you order a beef burrito and it's nothing but beef!
The best flavor you can only taste at his factory location.
Had the stuffed sopapilla with chicken. Very good. Green chile smother was excellent. Service was friendly and fast. Ate at the bar at lunch.
We were looking all over Las Cruces for Mexican food, and then came across a bunch of them. I noticed that Si Senor has a tortilla and tamale factory on the property with their name on it.
This restaurant has the best Mexican food I have yet had, and at the time of writing I am a Super Foodie on Zomato, so you needn’t doubt what I say. It was mouthwatering! Everything tasted perfect. If you are in Las Cruces, you shouldn’t miss this.
Si Senor is ranked number four (4) out of over sixty Mexican restaurants around the Las Cruces area in a reputable survey when considering the total dining experience. Its ambiance and service are number one among this town's Mexican restaurants. The food probably doesn't make the top ten....but it is pretty good. Si Senor does a booming business during lunch and dinner. Somebody must know something. So, to those who like to trash this place: how do you explain the fact that Si Senor is so busy every afternoon and evening? And, filled with many locals, not just out of town types?
The menu I would describe as a blend of New Mex and Southwestern cuisine. It is large with selections available for any palate. The prices are a little on the high side for Mexican food around here but not unreasonable. They do serve alcohol.
Si Senor presents each table with a basket of chips and four condiments prior to the meal: a bean dip, a red salsa, a salsa verde, and sour cream. The salsa verde is very good. The red salsa is ok. I do enjoy their bean dip.
Among their better dishes is their AKELA CHICKEN.....a grilled breast with a long green chile and melted cheese over the top. Meals usually come with rice and refried beans. The rice is so-so but the refried beans at Si Senor are below par.....not so good. They really need to improve the beans.
Their stuffed sopapillas are good but not in the top echelon around here. The CHILE CON CARNE IS VERY GOOD. Chimichangas are ok. Rellenos are good. Their SHRIMP TACOS with shredded cabbage and a chipotle sauce are excellent. Combo plates are good overall.
What to expect if you go: A large, attractive, bright, clean full-service restaurant with a friendly and professional staff. Well managed. Prices are a little high and the food quality runs from fair to very good. The parking lot is fairly large. The restaurant handles the crowd well and there is no sense of crowding. A lot of locals take their out of town guests to Si Senor to experience the local Mexican food and have a nice time.
MEXICAN FOOD RATING = THIRTEENTH BEST IN THE AREA.....UPPER FIFTH.
Restaurant rating = FOUR-AND-A-HALF STARS......meaning, you will have a very good overall dining experience. While no restaurant is perfect.....you can rest assured that the critics are FAR removed from reality.
Will I return to dine? Of course.
At Last! An Authentic Mexican Restaurant!!. While travelling through Las Cruces, we went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a local. My husband is always searching for the world's greatest chilli relleno. Tonight, he found it. The food was far beyond excellent! First came the large serving of chips and 4 different kinds of salsa, all of which were fantastic! I had a chalupa which was so fresh it tasted like it came from the garden to my plate. We learned that they have a garden nearby where they grow a lot of their food. Their peppers are dried and they grind them fresh for their dishes. My husband had the rellenos. The plate comes with 2 huge peppers. He had red sauce on one and green sauce on the other. The batter was light, both sauces excellent. He topped it off with sopapillas. They were light, airy, tasty, fresh. The staff was warm and very nice. What a terrific dining experience! We are extending our stay here a few days just to go back to this restaurant. Food like this does not come along very often in our travels!
Polite, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Great authentic Mexican food.
Simply.. Great food great prices. The food was very good and fresh. Staff was polite. Simpy excellent.
HAPPY CUSTOMER. I know there are other great Mexican food restaurants in Las Cruces; but, I like their food. I was impressed with their chips and salsa.
First time in Las Cruces. Nice Looking place, outside and inside. Service was good. Hatch valley combination was tasty. Chips came with red, green salsa, bean dip, and sour cream. House margarita wasn't very good. A nice place to eat but about the same as any Mexican fare in Alabama or elsewhere
Great food great service - every time. Each salsa is expertly prepared and the fresh sopapillas are the best in NM or west TX. I've been coming here for over 10 years and look forward to continuing so.
Best place for company. If you have company, this is the place to take them.
It has atomsphere, and good Mexican food. They also serve it in 3 different Heat levels. So everyone can have it their way.
It's obvious why this place is so busy. I can only imagine the number of family celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, and other positive events that have charmed Si Señor over the years. The building is ornately adorned in classic detail, and the quality of the food and service echoes this timeless decor. Once you're seated, even if you've been waiting for a table, the veteran staff provide prompt service for a delicious meal and generous drinks.
We enjoy the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant. There is a working fountain in the middle of one of the dining areas. Red chili, green chili, both good. I like their beans. Chili cheese fries were a hit with my family. My daughter loved her flautas. The chimichanga is big enough that my hubby only ate half. Good tacos, gorditas, enchiladas, beans and rice. We've liked everything we've ordered. The chips and salsa has 4 kinds of salsa. Many meals come with a sopapilla too.
I will say the acoustics of the place makes everything echo. When we go it is always busy. If you go with someone who is hearing impaired be prepared for louder speaking and more lip reading.

Exelent and fast service,I had red pork pozole. My companion had chicken tacos salad, big portion delicious and healthy 🤤😏
Amazing! Sat outside with niece, had margarita and green chili chicken enchilada, she had shrimp tacos and it was all awesome. Weather was nice, Nick was our waiter, he was perfection. Highly recommend!
My favorite restaurant to visit while in Las Cruces. Their authentic hatch green and red chili is delightful, and their chili rellanos are the best I've had. Finish it off with a cinnamon sugar sopapilla filled with honey, and I'm more than satisfied. 😋
Fantastic. The different salsas with the chips were so good, they had kick and flavor. The food is so good, the chili con carne was incredible. True taste of the green chile came through and the meat was so tender.
This Mexican restaurant never disappoints when it comes to the best food in Las Cruces, and the server's are always great, it's the only one in Cruces that gives you alot of free fresh tostados, and 4 different salsas, this place is a no brainer, fantastic restaurant !!!
