Reviews Salud! De Mesilla

Salud de Mesilla is what Las Cruces needs. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. The food is absolute genius! I have a hard time deciding every time I go. Today it was their new Monte Christo, so imaginatively prepared I was blown away. The ordinary Monte Christo is just a plain old sandwich with ham and turkey. This was a pair of globes with ingredients inside and blueberry sauce on top. You might think such a dish would be too sweet, but it was not, because the salt of the ham was just enough to offset the sweet. My husband had the fish and chips which could be so ordinary, but it was not. The fish was tender with a crispy crust and the chips wee Salud's signature fries. The tartar sauce was perfect with just a hint of kick to it. (Tip: Try the prickly pear mimosa) The service is always genuinely nice and the owners take pride in having a fine restaurant that loves food but doesn't break the bank. Salud! to Salud de Mesilla.!!

You know how a place can be homely yet really classy in its own way? That's this place. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, and the service was probably the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the pretzels and queso for an appetizer and the butter rum cake for dessert.

We had a large group of 22 people at Salud de Mesilla Friday night to hear Ed & Jerry play music on the back patio, and our service and food were both impeccable. Not to mention, Ed & Jerry jammed the night away! This is a refreshing addition to the Mesilla/Las Cruces restaurant choices. A special thanks to Michael, our server, for the special attention. Wow!

The owner is kind and friendly! The food is very fun and modern with new twists on old favorites like spinach artichoke fried wontons. My favorite though is their green chile cheeseburger. The live music on Saturday night is a great.

Always good. Best fries ever. Creative menu (even compared to "big cities"). Good friendly service. Yummy food. Can't go wrong with kale sprouts, shishito peppers, fries, dessert, or any of their many tapas. One of my favorites not only in Las Cruces but anywhere.

Loved this place! The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was awesome, and the food was terrific!! Upscale fusion restaurant with lots of menu and drink choices. If you can't decide on just one thing they have tapas (or little plates) so you try a couple of different things. We got the chips and salsa with guacamole and queso. I got two tapas. The green chile Mac and cheese with steak, and the shishito peppers. The peppers were my favorite. We also got a desert. The gooey butter cake. I am not a big cake fan, but this was delicious πŸ˜‹ I would definitely recommend and go back. They have a nice outdoor patio. They also sell things like jarred olives, and there is also a little shop attached to the restaurant. If you are looking for something different this is the place to try.

I just had the best fish sandwich ever, here! I have had plenty of Mexican style food while here and was looking for something else and I am glad I chose this. My husband had the blueberry salad and really enjoyed that as well. We had the duck confit tacos too, and they were good enough. The fish was cooked to perfection (not over done or dry) and crispy on the outside, delicate and moist on the inside, and the pickled veggies and microgreens gave such a nice flavor.

Amazing food and service, they were well staffed and the staff was very friendly and nice to each other as well as guests. The house marg was a little sweet for me, but great selection of beer. Update: Still amazing, brunch enchiladas are stacked green chili enchiladas with 2 eggs on top; 100% NM, 100% delicious! Great staff too.

This place is better than 4.5 stars for sure. It's adorable and has a HUGE menu of interesting dishes. Tapas list is fun and was great; slads; wraps... all good. Reasonable booze and wine list... and the atmosphere is fun. We'll be back!
