2018 update:
2018......While at the mall I decided to check in at Sansei Japanese for a meal of TERIYAKI CHICKEN AND SHRIMP WITH NOODLES. Price around $8.00 a real good deal for the money. Large portions and tasty cooked to order food. Nothing spectacular but quite good....especially for the price. Food rates about a "B" overall, the service a "B" (good for fast food), and ambiance? Well, it is the food court. Everything written below in 2012 still applies. 

BOTTOM LINE: WILL I RETURN TO DINE? YES. I THINK I'LL STOP IN MORE OFTEN. ENJOYED MY MEAL. 

And, keep in mind: Sansei Japanese has outlasted just about everyone else at the food court over the past five or six years. Many have come and gone. There obviously is a reason!

FAIR TO MIDDLING TERIYAKI GRILL. To be truthful, this place was a little better than I thought it would be. Located at the mall food court...step up to the counter and place your order. They offer a really limited menu...a tiny selection of sushi and several teriyaki grill selections. Chicken, beef, and shrimp teriyaki served with rice or noodles. That's about it. If you want the noodles the price is about a buck more. I did not notice anyone ordering the sushi. It seemed as if everyone was ordering the food hot off the grill. I can understand why! The food, except for the sushi, is not pre-prepared and sitting around in warmers like so many other places. THE FOOD IS COOKED TO ORDER ON THE GRILL WHILE YOU WATCH. The guys at the grill do a nice job and a huge amount of food is piled into a styrofoam tray for anywhere from $5.00 to about $7.50. This is really a pretty good deal. The service is quick and efficient fast food style.

I ordered a combo meal with both chicken and shrimp. I chose the noodles and paid the additional charge. The chicken had a nice grilled flavor to it, BUT IT WAS NOT THE HIGHEST QUALITY CHICKEN AS YOU MIGHT EXPECT. I did notice a little fat here and there that was not trimmed off, but the chicken was nicely cooked and flavorful. The medium-sized shrimp were somewhat meaty and the flavor was not bad....not great, but not bad. There were some onions, carrots, and cabbage slivers in the meal with the noodles. The whole combination meal was a very large serving, plenty for just one person. The teriyaki sauce gave the meal a nice flavor. THE SANSEI GRILLED DISHES ARE A LARGE AND PRETTY TASTY MEAL FOR THE MONEY! Rate this food about a B overall. Sansei food is upper echelon for fast food.

The service at the Sansei rates a B for fast food and the ambiance at the food court, well, about a C to C+. Rate the overall dining experience about THREE-AND-A-HALF STARS....for above average for fast food. If stuck at the mall this would be one of the better choices, but don't expect anything outstanding.

BOTTOM LINE: WOULD I RETURN TO DINE HERE? I MIGHT SOME DAY.

Food is great. Excellent service.

Daughter wanted asian food and we needed some place close by our appointment. So she picked Sensei. Called it in drove over and it was ready pretty quickly. We all enjoyed the food and the order taker/cook/cashier was great!
