I came here for breakfast one day and I was promptly served upon entering. The service was great, as was the food. I had a latte, which was made well as well as a fresh fruit and yogurt parfait. While it was delicious, it was very little for a large price. However, I’d certainly try the pancakes if I come back.
Visited this place during one of my trips to the IAFE in Vegas. I recommend ordering the Fish & Chips if you make a trip to this place. Bring your appetite because this is a very healthy serving of food. I actually ate here on a night before attending the American Country Awards. Definitely visit this place if you happen to stroll through Mandalay Bay while in Vegas.
This restaurant is inside Mandalay Bay Resort. It's opened for 24 hrs. It got nice options for food but fish & chips are best here. Other chicken options are also good.
Had a Frisco melt and it tasted amazing! Thousand island dressing, two patties and sourdough bread (I think). It was delicious.
We came here at about 9pm and it wasn't packed at all but the service was horrible. We got out food and finished it before anyone even came back to check on us. Wasn't happy about that, but will give them another shot because the food was so good.
This place was amazing, friendly bartenders, amazing Bloody Mary's and good food
Solid place to grab a bite at Mandalay Bay. There is nothing fancy about the menu, or the restaurant, but, it's a nice little spot if you're in the Mandalay Bay and in need of a good meal. We ate there twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch, and were satisfied both times.
I had the Turkey Club for lunch, it was huge, with a side of fries. Ingredients were fresh, bread had a nice crunch. Fries were solid, not mind blowing, but, I wasn't expecting them to be.
For breakfast I had their "famous" Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. It says it comes on a NY Style Kaiser roll, it was just a kaiser-like hamburger bun. Other than that, the sandwich was great. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crispy and the home fries were actually my favorite part of the dish.
They also have a deli counter stocked with fresh made sandwiches, donuts, and other desserts for you to grab and go if you're in a hurry.
Prices are on par for what you should expect in a Casino restaurant (not cheap), but, the portions were large and our party of 4 left satisfied with both our meals there. Service was excellent both times, our servers were very attentive and friendly.
We are here twice. For dinner we had GREAT service. Our meal was very delicious. I had a lobster roll that was unforgettable! Also for breakfast we were so thankful to find somewhere at Mandalay Bay that juiced. Thank you! Yum!
Dinner was free. I knew the manager at the time so dinner was free. Upscale cafe food good for what it was. Cafe food.
Opens Late. If you find yourself hungry and Citizens is the only restaurant opens after midnight in Mandalay Bay, it is not a bad place. We missed our dinner reservation at elsewhere because the show ran longer than expected, we ended up at Citizens.
Two of us shared a Turkey Burger and a Lobster Roll, in fact, they're pretty good for what they were. Service was spotty but still attentive.
Husband and I went here one night. Just passing by and took a chance. The best steak we've both had in awhile. His came with an amazing horseradish dip that I stole plenty of. They don't overdo the sides like some restaurants. The cheesecake was melt in your mouth amazing. Would go again next visit to Vegas.
Average food (by Vegas standards). Had the Chicken Cobb and the ranch had the consistency of mayo which was strange.
Perfectly fine with French food and well experienced with ‘modernist’ cuisine, both at local spots as well as internationally revered recipients of three Michelin Stars, but born in the Midwest and raised on anything but foie gras or liquid nitrogen cocktails suffice it to say that I’m a fan of the whole “upscale American” movement – the sort of food that takes the shake n’ bake that mother used to make and turns it into something worth leaving the house for, the sort of food that critics love to critique even though they likely cannot make it as well themselves…the sort of food being served at Citizens Kitchen and Bar in Mandalay Bay.
Everything in Las Vegas is crazy expensive and this place was no exception, However, the portions were quite generous as well as delicious!!!!! This chef understands how over-medium well eggs are cooked! The bacon was thick & crispy!! And the pancakes were fabulous!!! Our server was very kind, and helpful with our little ones which made for a relaxing experience! Highly recommend Citizens for a family friendly meal!
Really liked it. The service and drinks were great. The tofu bowl was good and likes the fries. The ambiance was pretty good, a little loud but to be expected. Prices were high. Do recommend.
I visited the restaurant several times, for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was good, but dinner wasn't. I had the grilled salmon and it had absolutely no seasoning. For $28, it should've tasted better. Overall, the service was good, so I would return, but I'd choose something else on the menu.
Citizens Kitchen is an open, airy modern establishment. It is part Starbucks with its coffee bar and pastries. An easy place to get take out to eat in your room. But, it is also an inviting sit-down restaurant in which to enjoy not only the great food. But friends and family as well. Fear not the menu selections are cooked and serve promptly and to your specifications. Portions are large and can be shared. The place is acoustically bright (noisy). But, that only adds to the overall experience. Price point at market for Las Vegas. $$ and half.
The best bacon around in my opinion. Didn’t have to ask for it to be cooked properly (crispy) it just came out that way. Large plates for the price and the drinks were strong, just what we needed to start the day.
Bartender was attentive and on top of his tasks. Dinner seating is at 5PM, which is not listed on the website or menu. Overall, decent food. Our fried chicken sandwich was very nice, but a little overdone. The parmesean and truffle fries were average. The service was fantastic.
We decided to try this after visiting the Shark Reef and it was a good decision. Service was really good and the food tasted good too. The menu had quite a few good selections for adult beverages, and the overall menu was a typical American menu. The Nashville chicken was a little too seasoned though, and felt like I was eating more dry rub then chicken sandwich resulting in the loss of a star on this review.
One of my favourites at Mandalay Bay! Easy to get in (on most days), fast and good value. I have a tried a few items over the years and nothing disappoints. The service is good and the vibe is fast and energetic.
Recommendation: Try the nachos!
Amazing breakfast and service ! We had large portions and service was fast and super friendly!
Really enjoyed every choice for breakfast and that’s why we went for 3 days in a row.
Waiter was MIA most of the time but friendly. Medium burger was cooked very well. Would have sent it back but like I said the waiter was nowhere to be found after the food runners brought it out. Still had good flavor.
If you want a super short wait then go to the bar.
Once we sat down we noticed that the bar and the restaurant were nice and clean.
Our bartender was very nice.
We ordered the food and it took a while to come but everyone was so nice and continued to fill our glasses with coffee so, we didn't mind.
I ordered the chicken fried steak it was delicious.
My wife ordered an omelet and it was absolutely divine!
The food was expensive. But, you tend to expect these things in a hotel.
But place to eat at Mandalay Bay, hands down

Stopped here for breakfast the day we got in, food is okay. Most of my bacon was over cooked and so were the eggs.
The waiter was what made this place, I wish I would of remembered his name. Great customer service from him.
We went here for a business lunch with 6 of us. Everyone seemed pleased with their order. Our food came out quick and our waitress was very friendly. She kept our drinks coming and was attentive. I personally had the teriyaki bowl with chicken and thought it was really good. My only complaint was I wish there was a little bit more chicken in it... the piece of chicken they gave me was pretty small. Other than that it was really good. I would definitely come here again.
Good place for lunch. Food is good but service was very slow and not great. Not much lobster on the shrimp and lobster roll.
