In town for conference and wanted to treat co-worker to one of my must stop food destinations! Was seated promptly with no wait at around 7:30 and waited no time ordering sautéed string beans ground pork in, toothpick lamb with cumin, and boiled beef in hot sauce. Everything was great with slight heat starting out then turning to a slight numbing sensation. Highly recommend!

A must visit when in Vegas. We come here every time we visit, and it's always fabulous! The cumin lamb, chengdu fried rice is a must. My favorite restaurant in Las Vegas.

Chengdu Taste is our favorite Sichuan spot in Chinatown. The spicy shrimp is crunchy, flavorful and delicious. The eggplant with garlic is spicy and fantastic. Service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend eating here if you are looking for flavorful, spicy food!

We keep coming back every time we visit Vegas. Perfect chengdu cuisine far away from chengdu 🇨🇳!

Important thing to note is their meal is for at least 2 people, didn't know that, doesn't say on their menu, and sever didn't say either. The food is really good. We had the 1. Chengdu style fried rice, delicious. 2. Griddle cooked beef with mixed veggies, really good, very oily. It doesn't come with side of rice, none of their meal does. 3. Volcano beef, supposed to be 🌶 🌶 🌶 according to their menu and waiter but was only hot temperature wise and stayed hot for while, not sure how they accomplished that. Not spicy at all, very potato slices dense, has less meat compared to the other, overall just okay.

This is a good Chinese restaurant that appeals to both authentic and Americanized palates. During peak times, you can expect to wait for a table for an hour. If you have some time to kill, and something to do nearby, it's not a bad wait. I had sautéed beef with onions and the cumin toothpick lamb. The lamb was very good and spicy. The beef was ok, but nothing unique.

For spicy and genuine food, this place is the bomb. The one spice and 2 spice hot levels are just wow, and it doesn’t mask the flavors of the food. The lamb sticks and deep fried chicken are my faves. Lamb sticks have great flavor and the fried chicken had a crunchy light batter and it brought the heat for sure. Service is good and I would describe it more like a no nonsense food place where it’s more guys serving, more just matter of fact service - a female touch would prolly put the service 5/5 but this place is great food 5/5, service 4/5.

Authentic Szechuan flavor Chinese restaurant! We can’t really eat spicy foods but we are able to find enough dishes that are not too spicy. All dishes we ordered are very yummy and fresh! And the portions are huge!!! The waiter is very attentive and nice. The dishes were served very fast with very little wait time. The environment is very clean. Highly recommend!

This is the same owner as the one in Diamond Bar, CA, as I found out later. In the last couple of months, I've enjoyed their creations many times. Clearly, I'm addicted. Chengdu is famous for their menu. The city is located in Central China inside the province of Sichuan. Sichuan is the proud producer of many peppers and mushrooms. Sichuan peppers are spicy and produce an oil that has a very unique flavor. With Chengdu's nearby access to all of this produce, their notorious dishes are known to Chinese people and have become one of my favorite type of Chinese food. Most of the dishes are filled with a protein like fish chicken or beef and some other types, then vegetables, but my opinion for what makes these dishes stand out is the seasoning and spices. The peppers kick everything up a notch or two. And chengdu taste has mastered the dishes from that region. The location provides plenty of parking. It is situated in the middle of a strip of shops behind another strip of shops on the main drag of spring mountain. So it's in the heart of China town yet away from the chaotic traffic that spring mountain has. I do wish the seating area was larger, but this location is relatively new, and maybe they are still planning on expanding. Pricing is on the higher end, but know that the food is fresh and unique. Many of the dishes are prepared for 2, so actually, the pricing is very reasonable, considering the portion is double the size.

I love these dishes. Authentic and delicious. Ask for less spicy if you can’t eat that much. My flavor restaurant in Vegas.

The food was exceptionally good. The service is fast but be prepared for a wait. We had to wait about 45 mins before we could get a table. But the food is worth the wait. Spicy..!! If you cant handle spicy food let them know in advance because it can get real hot. Would definitely recommend the Toothpick Lamb with Cumin.

The Vegas Heat these days could be referring to the entrees flying out of the kitchen at Chengdu Taste. Authentic Szechuan inspired Chinese is the goal here: And they hit the note with authority. Located in a Chinatown strip mall(of course), about 2 miles west of the strip; the location isn’t exactly prime, or easy to find. Once you locate this hidden gem, don’t let the exterior fool you: The interior is modern, unique, and clean as a whistle. Recommended dishes are many, including their raved about toothpick lamb. Walked in looking to try their Kung Pao chicken, but opted to sample the “Flavored Shrimp in special chili sauce”…. Wow!!! This dish packs a serious punch: Both in terms of heat and flavor. The recipe only comprises a handful of ingredients, but the end result is bit more complex in taste. Note: If you can’t handle the heat, you’ll wanna eat elsewhere…This is the real deal: And as I found out, authentic Szechuan brings serious spice. And that’s a good thing…. Service was good, but not spectacular really: But they do leave a full pitcher of water; so there’s not much you’ll really need… except maybe another pitcher of water. Steamed rice is served a la carte. If you’re looking for some serious authentic Chinese food, served in a clean and classy environment, give Chengdu Taste a taste… Note: Take a few minutes to glance over the numerous awards hanging on multiple interior walls: Impressive to say the least… Enjoy!
