The restaurant has a very inviting setting alongside Spearfish Creek. The food was delicious. The soup of the day was Smoked Buffalo Chili soup with cornbread. It was hearty and spicy! We had it as a side to our sandwiches, and it was the perfect compliment to them. I had the 4 cheese Grilled Cheese. My husband had the BLT (very generous with the bacon). The sour dough bread used on both sandwiches was delicious. We were offered indoor or outdoor seating. The view from the back patio was lovely, but we ate indoors due to the wind. I thoroughly recommend eating here. The waitress was cheerful and helpful!
Went in the off season so it wasn't at all busy. Our server was very friendly and welcoming.
Beautiful view from the window we sat by, and the bird feeder out there was very busy! The grackles here are so much more colorful than the grackles in Wisconsin, I'm not sure why since it's the same species. But they were absolutely gorgeous!
The food was excellent. I had fish in a creamy white wine sauce over corn cakes and it was FANTASTIC! I would order it again if I get the chance to go back. We also had the chislic appetizer which was delicious, and their french fries were really good!
We only had drinks and the cheese curd appetizer. So good. Best cheese curds ever. And the blueberry lemonade vodka was one of the best most refreshing drinks I’ve had in a very long time. Ryan was a great server. Would recommend to not pass this up if you are in the area.
Stopped here after viewing Spearfish Falls. We had the Blueberry Vodka Lemonade, a wrap and onion rings, while sitting on the patio. Food is excellent!!!! The ambiance is excellent. And the staff is excellent!!! I hated to leave. Highly recommended.
Sandwich we had was great, service was decent, price was in line for the location
Absolutely amazing restaurant! The building is very neat inside and out. The food is very delicious and filling. I would definitely recommend the garlic cheese curds and the Buffalo bread bowl. The employees are very friendly and kind. They have an amazing view from their windows with really cool animal mounts in the building.
Stayed across the street at Spearfish Canyon Lodge and came over to try the buffalo stew and cheese curds, both of which were VERY good. As everyone else has said, the entrees are a bit pricey but is to be expected considering the area/location. Overall, service was average as were the entrees but I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
