First time here. The food was awesome! The portions were huge. The price was right. Great macaroni. Great biscuits with sausage and just fantastic food! So much to choose from. The restaurant was packed and we were seated in like 5 minutes. This is a gold mine!
Food here is always the best and comforting. Been eating here since it was a grill and bait shop in bayou vista and have eaten at every location. Reminds me of the 1990s dinners with my mama and grandma! Recently had my new husband try it and he fainted at the portions especially his BBQ BRISKET BAKED POTATO lol.
Came here Saturday about 11:30am. There was a 15 minute wait to be seated, a 10 minute wait for our server to come, and a 10 minute wait for our food to come out. The host that was taking names was pleasant and our server was attentive. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a country gravy on the side and it was delicious. The place was clean. Over all, good experience and will be visiting again.
I’m from very rural Texas, and this is a place that makes me feel like I’m not in the Houston area. Very traditional southern foods in ENORMOUS portions for a reasonable price. Our server was amazing— she was so attentive and accommodating. She even spoke to my 2nd grader about his upcoming school year. I’m very thankful they rebuilt after the fire!
Lots to choose from on the menu, we are seated quickly on a busy weekend. Everything looked delicious and everything we ordered was. Huge portions, everything was fresh and delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Staff was extra friendly. Not too crowded. Great value for the money.
If you’re as hungry as a lumberjack, or you’re going to battle Kelly’s is the place to come for breakfast. The plates are huge and the biscuits are even huger. Pancakes bigger than a tire so you better come hungry. Everything is good and the place can get crowded in the mornings so come early.
4/29/20.. order was perfect, n warm, delivery was 35 min with Door dash.. Kelly's came thru, extra rolls, LARGE portions ..WAS WORTH IT!!! THANK YOU DURING THIS HAD TIME👏👍👍👍👍👍/ July 2023 1st visit since re-open, love the new look!! Great FRESH tasting fried fish n shrimp special w3 sides, ck take-out they forgot to include 1 side and no cutlery was included, but $11.99 Friday special was awesome, got a great large chocolate cream pie...mmmm..LOVED IT!! 8-25-23 Friday special Shrimp poo-boy !! Portions are generous would be an understatement. The service was awesome. Tasty food!!
Our waitress Dianna was awesome. She was very nice and quick to bring us refills despite it being packed. The food was phenomenal. Huge portions. Grits were perfect, the hash browns as well. The chicken fried steak was large and tasted good but could have came white more gravy considering it's size. However, that didn't take away from all the food tasting great. Also the pancake I tried was delicious. We will definitely be back

We had unfortunate damage to our home and were unable to have our annual Thanksgiving charades. We were devastated, but more grateful Kelley's and their staff were open and well prepared to sit and feed our family. There was a bit of a wait, about 30 minutes, which was expected, but WELL WORTH the wait!! As busy as the day was for Kelley's, the staff was phenomenal, and the food just as great. This obviously was not their 1st rodeo. They had everything from A-Z under 100% control, great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and excellent food! If my family is cool with it, this will become our new family tradition! Even if just to pick up the food for dinner, I'm totally down! If you haven't been to Kelley's, you need to go!! I've lived here for 46 years and have never had a bad meal from any Kelley's location. It's family owned and oriented, serving comfort foods in a relaxed atmosphere. They even Door Dash :)
It's finally open again, and it didn't disappoint. You can expect the same serving size... BIG! The service was great, and the ability to pay at the table was awesome. Breakfast served all day, and their daily specials are not to be missed. I recommend coming by and enjoying some great country cookin!

Some of the best food I have had in a long time. The portion size was huge. I fed 8 people on Thanksgiving with drinks for $144. The stuffing was the best I have ever had. Wonderful. Even though they were packed out the door. The waiters kept coming and checking on us. Making sure we were happy. And I was. I am going back for Christmas!!!
Haven’t been here in awhile due to the fire but I have to say that this place has not changed one bit. Great good and we had the most kind waitress ever. Thank you Amber M. For your great service. I will most definitely be coming back here more often.
This place has a little bit of everything. Everything we had was good, the kids spaghetti was not too my liking, but my kids devoured it, so that's a plus. Service was great and the atmosphere was positive and bright. Country fried steak was delicious, same with hamburger steak. Did need a little salt, but overall the sides and sizes and entrees were more than acceptable. The best though, the blackberry cobbler, I have never eaten a cobbler so fast, wife said the chocolate cake was moist and delicious. I'd go again.
Great food, great location, great prices. Been going to years and it's always incredible value and delicious country food.
On our last trip (post-reopening), we had a minor issue with our server, who basically abandoned us after taking our order. We had to flag down several other servers for things like refills, togo boxes, the check and we waited quite a while before resorting to asking someone else for help. Not a major problem but it made our 30-45 min meal a 90 min meal. Will still be back, but only when we have extra time.
The best value for your money. Friendly staff & prompt service..I wish they would get their bacon from another supplier. Not as thick & crispy as I used to be.. my only wish lol- Love Kelly's
To begin, the service was just as sweet as southern sweet tea. If you haven't had southern sweet tea, it's all sugar with a hint of iced tea. The absolute sweetest ladies.
The food. Whew. Everything is bigger in Texas and that includes portion sizes. If you aren't used to ginormous portion sizes, split a plate with whoever you're with.
If you decide to tackle a portion yourself, they'll happily provide you to go boxes that barely fit the portion size 😉
