We were looking for Mexican food and this spot came up. The outside is just as good as the inside, outdoor dining with heat gives you a different vibe. Ordered the classic margarita that drink will have you feeling nice lol it’s really good. As appetizers, we got large chilly and chicken flautas along with the complimentary salsa and chips, which were great by the way. As our main we ordered the steak and shrimp which was phenomenal steak was so good, also got an order of their chimichangas. I would highly recommend them the vibe is nice the seats are good the drinks are great nice lol music playing staff is great please make a reservation they do get busy.
Food was really good, we enjoyed that a lot. Ordered steak fajitas and a chicken mole. Their chips were very good as well, and good, flavorful salsa.
Our blended margarita was over blended, unfortunately. Haven’t tried other drinks, and I’d definitely be happy to go back and give them another shot. The food was good enough that I’d be willing.
There’s outdoor seating, and that was something we’ve been looking for at a Mexican restaurant for a while.
Great atmosphere and food. Eventhough the service is slow it's understandable -it seems like they're short staff. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. You can have amazing food for a decent price and not be overloaded with sodium. I got the chicken fajita and it was a good portion size. The beef quesadilla looks more like a giant sof taco but nonetheless it's still delicious
Food is always good and consistent. The margarita pitchers are reasonably priced and taste great. This is our go to neighborhood restaurant.
The best Mexican restaurant around! I've been going here for years and the food and drinks have always been incredible!
Exceptional service and cuisine. Very cozy feeling. Highly recommended.
Food is ALWAYS delicious! This is our go to place when visiting my family. Super friendly staff too!
I ordered on Friday for our annual Ladies Night for Saturday. The gentleman ( I wish I remembered his name) made sure our order was perfect. Everyone wanted fajitas. So, they made separate tins for all the items that you would normally get at the table. That made my life so much easier. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. My family and I have been to others, but South of the Border is by far the best. PS- My daughter absolutely loves there chicken soup and will always take one home as a “doggy bag”
Thank you staff for your over the top service.
Great food and drinks. Staff is great. Highly recommended.
Went here on a date night with the wife, had a good time. The atmosphere is nice, it is loud but it is nice. Shrimp ceviche for an appetizer which was good. They cheated a little bit, the ceviche was grilled where it should have been cooked by the acid in the citrus, but it was yummy nevertheless. I a special as a main course, shrimp and scallops in a pineapple jalapeno sauce. It was not spicy at all, could have had a little bit more of the jalapeno flavor, but that's me I like spicy things. The pineapple flavor was perfect, not overpowering at all. Didn't have room for dessert, we'll have to go back and try it again.
Tasty food. Waitress (Jackie?) Was excellent- one of the most attentive and personable I've ever met. The restaurant itself has weird acoustics, it wasn't very crowded but was very loud. I could barely hear my table mates right next to me.
This has long been my favorite restaurant. The food is fresh and consistently delicious. The margaritas are excellent and I love the dim, cozy interior. Perfect for date night or getting together with friends.
