We will definitely go back! Tried it out with a coupon for a brisket and sausage (I got the jalapeno) plate and we were impressed with the lean, tender meat. The roasted fresh jalapenos were a nice touch on the condiment bar. I also liked the broccoli salad.
Really good meats and sides. The brisket was super tender and flavorful without being over the top like so many are nowadays. The ribs were perfect. We will definitely eat there again when in the area.
One of my Favorite places to eat some good BBQ, we love this place.
Drove by this place too many times before giving in to the smell. The service was better than anywhere I've been in awhile and the food was awesome. I'll be back again soon.

We love Old House BBQ! We've been here several times and have loved the big juicy cheeseburgers, brisket, sausage, and smoked turkey! Tonight was the first time we brought our little grandson along! Grandpa says, "And don't forget the ice cream machine!"

Thank you to Old House for letting us have our family get together there yesterday. We celebrated the life of my son Michael that passed away 5 yrs ago at the barge and then had lunch at Old House. Great service and great food as usual.

My son invited me to lunch and this boy can eat so I knew I was in for a treat. Old House BBQ does not disappoint!
From the outside the place doesn’t look like much but hey it’s not the Ritz it’s a bbq joint so all good. The inside was up kept well with a very good selection to choose from.
I had the three meat plate and my son had the loaded baked potato…we were stuffed when done!
Food was really really good and priced well. Let’s just say I will return!!
Great local spot with character, great food, and good service. Rustic red barn building lets you know up front this is traditional BBQ, but the menu is varied and does offer newer variations. The smell of the meats will make you even hungrier, and the flavor will not disappoint. Line style service with generous portions and decent prices. Good for weekly visits or whenever you need a BBQ fix.
Pretty darn good. Actually better than expected. Protein was delicious but the side - not anything to write home to Momma about. Prices were about what you would expect.
Very good traditional Texas BBQ in an old building. Quick service. Great for take-out. (Don’t order the delivery because it doubles the price.) I always get chopped beef and haven’t tried other meat here. It’s very lean and good. You can feed 3 people with 1 lb chopped beef + 2 sides + 4 rolls if you order extra rolls. Some sides are fresh. Caesar salad is good. Cheesy potatoes great. Green beans are swimming in grease. They do have a few tables inside, cold pie, soft serve ice cream, plenty of ice tea. The food here is way better than Buc-ee’s if you’re coming up the highway.
Trying a new experience at Old House BBQ. For the price you definitely get your money's worth. Brisket was a tiny bit dry but it could've been due to the end of the day. Ribs came right off the bones and good selection of sides.
Every time we travel this way we make it a point to stop here for this high quality BBQ. And trust me, I am so picky. The brisket is always moist and tender and so are the ribs. The sauce is also delicious and I think they have a ‘hot’ version as well. They have a very large selection of sides (like a dozen) so there is something there for all tastes. I like their peach cobbler a lot but there are about 6 different pies also to choose from. They also have a self-serve ice cream machine. I definitely recommend this small family owned restaurant. They do a lot of takeout too. Enjoy!
