The service was excellent. The people polite and curtious. The food was worth the wait. The bar staf where kind and very knowledgeable about the drinks. Reservations where kept on time. Special requests where pleasantly performed. The atmosphere was wonderful along with the view inside of everything they had to offer. I would highly recommend this place toanyone i meet. The price is worthy of the dishes served.

Coles is a local treasure. Each time we’ve dined here (most recently during Lexington’s restaurant week) the entire experience has been sublime. Their dishes are creative, fresh, and delicious, (including the extraordinary homemade breads), the wine list is extensive -plus, the sommelier is super-helpful, warm and friendly- and the atmosphere is charming.
The southern hospitality vibe is strong at Coles - it feels simultaneously upscale/ innovative but also homegrown. Our server on our most recent visit was terrific- not intrusive but very attentive. Highly recommend Coles.
The food is always excellent and on this visit our server Rita was amazing. She was knowable about the wine and food, but she also spoke French with my guests and myself at our table, BRAVA
I've known of Coles for a while. They've taken up residence in an historically difficult location, and from my experience, have made something special. My friend and I came in with no reservation, and were seated immediately. Great service from the hostess. Our waiter was excellent. He explained the dishes very well and was very helpful. Everything from appetizer to desert was great. My filet was amazing. And I loved the "grit tots!" Ha! Great job, folks. I'll definitely be back and will highly recommend your fine establishment.
Our drinks were prepared perfectly, the food was absolutely delightful, and the service was extraordinary. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you to our server, Jared, and the general manager, Chris, for making the experience so wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful food, drinks and service. The Asian pear salad was wonderfully well balanced, flank steak was the most tender flank steak I've ever had and the desserts were wonderful.
Delicious dinner and impeccable service. Yolanda was our server and she was magnificent. She was friendly, efficient, charming and suggested a Chardonnay that is my new favorite!
Our family met in Lexington for a weekend of fun. Our daughter lives there and has often spoken of Cole's in glowing terms so when our son and his husband who live in Maine joined us, we made a point of the eight of us, including grandchildren, dining at Cole's. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was warm, welcoming and attentive, along with the other wait staff tending our table. The food, without exception, was five star. We could not find a thing that could have been improved upon. We loved the integration of local food and the in-house preparation of the cured and aged meats, as well as the delicious sauces and accompaniments. Great attention to detail. We will certainly return.
Hands down the best meal I’ve had yet in Lexington! Our service was excellent, with Jared very capably answering the many questions we had for him.
He food was top quality, prepared and presented expertly! Going in had an idea what I was going to order, but after listening to the specials opted selections from those! The shashimi was melt in your mouth and the Cajun Fillet was superb! But the “piece due restistance”, was the bourbon creme brûlée! Simply amazing! The service as well was what one should expect in a restaurant with such fantastic food! A++.
I feel like I've got the pulse on the best restaurants in Lex. Coles is most definitely in the top 3. If it's not on your list, get it there. You won't be disappointed

My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays and went with my family to celebrate at Coles. It was one of the better meals I have ever had from start to finish. Everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful and was presented nicely. The drinks and dessert were also delicious and our server had excellent suggestions for pairings. Would love to chose this place for a celebration again in the future. Thank you for an excellent time!
Bone in filet was the best I've had in some time. My wife had the Halibut and loved everything. If any complaint, it would be the bench seats against the outer wall. Loved how you could be relaxed dressed up or come casual. The staff and owner were very nice and wanted you to have a most pleasant time. We'll be back!

We love the salmon salad- but truly have never had anything but a perfect meal here.
It's Pricey. Now the positive. Great service. We had a party of 6 and everyone had something different. So there was a wide variety of entrees ordered. Beef shoulder�, Salmon�, Crusted Chicken�. Drinks were excellent. Warm cookies and ice cream for desert.
The black pepper biscuits and grit tots are two of my new favorites. The homemade Thousand Island dressing is one of the best I’ve tried. Service was great and the decor was cozy. We enjoyed the entire experience. Can’t wait to go back.
