My dad Tracy Plowman has been the Paddock Blacksmith there for as long as I remember, probably over 50 years. His employers have always been so good to him and he truly loves them and his job there. He is still there this Fall meet and hopefully he will be of good health to continue on for a few more years. Thank you Keeneland for being so good to my dad! It is a beautiful place to visit too!
Keeneland is a beautiful place and I love coming here in the spring and fall each year. The volunteers are special, too- shout out to my father, Don Hudson, who has for years been a Green Coat in the tunnel by the gift shop with his friend, Mike. đ
I was their on Oct. 12th. The staff was helpful and courteous. Awesome day,it was a cool and semi wet day. Whenever Keeneland is open it always a great place to be.
I absolutely love Keeneland! The staff is very professional. I would recommend anyone to come here that enjoys horse racing.
I just have to give a shoutout to the Concessions supervisor Steve Cunningham and the Customer Relations Manager Betsy May. My fiancĂ© and I had an engagement party a couple of weeks ago and when I called to ask if I could purchase Keeneland disposable cups Betsy reached out to Steve and they gave us 4 sleeves of cups! The next day I called Steve and on the Thursday before the meet started (which I can imagine I very busy for them) he made me wait in the paddock and brought the cups to me so I wouldnât be walking around trying to find him. This may seem so minimal to some, but it made my day. Great customer service shouldnât go unnoticed and I will never forget this act of kindness from Betsy + Steve.
I was born a raised here, I cut my teeth in these barns; it never gets old and they do everything with class. Even the coke & beer taste better here . . .

Love Keeneland! Kentucky horse racing at it's finest! Elegant and Prestigious, the way racing should be. The grounds are perfect! The people are friendly and helpful. A beautiful way to see how great Kentucky is!
I love Keeneland. I have always loved Keeneland. Its beauty and charm never fade. And you can always have a good time when you're there!! My absolute only issue is that there is no map of the facility in the program, which is so much more than it used to be. There should be a color map of the facility in the program with locations of restrooms, bars, restaurants and what they serve. And why aren't there country ham sandwiches and soup beans on the menu?
As a Kentuckian, I think, we all grow up with horses somehow touching our hearts. I was lucky to have this magical place in the background of my life. I love to simply watch as others see my Kentucky Home for maybe the first time because I know it will forever be in their hearts.
I love Keeneland they do everything fist class. There is one thing I would like them to do is a better web sight like they have at Belmont or Churchill.

As a racing fan living in New York City, I adore Belmont Park and Saratoga but had always wanted to visit Keeneland. I finally got my chance this year. My plans were to bring my tote bag as I had to leave Keeneland for the airport that evening. My hotel assured me Keeneland had lockers for me to store my bag. However, when I arrived at Keeneland, I was told they had no lockers and furthermore I also couldn't bring my backpack in for security reasons. I was so upset as this would require multiple expensive and time-consuming trips back to the hotel to store my belongings. But I had no reason to be concerned. The ladies at the security check-in quickly brought the gentleman, Tony, who was in charge of that entrance to the rescue. He kindly escorted me to the Welcome Center where the entire staff apologized for my inconvenience. They kept my bags for me and even found a small shopping bag I could use as a purse. As if that weren't enough, Tony insisted on escorting me into the track free of charge and gave me a tour of the paddock and track! He could not have been more hospitable and helpful. What could have been a day-ruining disaster was turned into a very happy experience. Besides the exemplary customer service, Keeneland was everything I had always heard.....incredibly beautiful. The scenery from the grandstand is pastoral Kentucky horse country. The paddock is accessible to all, one of the few things about Saratoga I dislike. The whole ambience was southern elegance yet not stuffy. Even the food was great! Kentucky barbecue, bourbon baked beans, cole slaw and ice cold Blue Moon! Can't beat that! And the racing was of course top-notch. It was a day I will remember with great fondness and will definitely be back! I want to thank all the staff, especially Tony, who made my Keeneland experience one I will treasure.
We came from Omaha, NE to attend racing the weekend of Apr 14th expecting to see World-Class Racing-which we definitely did. It was however the pure beauty of the facility and surrounding area along with the amazing "Southern Hospitality" shown by the entire Keeneland Staff that cannot be put into words. Absolutely blown away and will assuredly make a return trip. Special "Thanks" to Jesse Ullery along with the crew from the Bluegrass Lounge:Lindsay,Heide,Miss Linda and Don the Doorman! You guys made our trip even more awesome.
For me would very much like to have a vacation at Keeneland? The people you meet all over the United States and other countries; and the thoroughbred beautiful.
I grew up eating at different incarnations of the track kitchen over the years. Great breakfast now. Expanded hours during race meets. Something to look forward to!
A Tradition. I would go here with family the day before the Kentucky Derby. It was our tradition to watch the horses work out early, then grab some grub at the cafeteria. We loved watching the workers/trainers come in their riding gear to grab a bite.
Delicious!. After a fantastic tour of Keeneland Race Track, our wonderful tour guide Paul recommended we have lunch in the "cafeteria". What a treat! Fresh, delicious food at great prices. My jambalaya was loaded with chicken and smoky sausage, perfectly cooked rice, and just the right amount of spice. The rolls were soft and feather light. My daughter had a fresh made sandwich and then stole the rest of my lunch!
Great fun. Great prices, great food. Ambiance is vintage cafeteria .
Best cheapest breakfast in Lexington. Come watch the horses workout and then eat breakfast in the historic track kitchen. Look at famous horses pictures on the wall and overhear true horsemen talk about which horses they like that day. Cafeteria style, get the breakfast special you won't be disappointed.
