Most of the time this is the best place to eat! We used to come there on Sunday nights after church. Some time the waitress or waiters are not checking on there tables like they should. The one in Nicholasville, they are right there when you need them.

The breakfast bar was wonderful. Most impressed with Gala. As a former restaurant owner I would love to have her on my team.

Great breakfast Spanish Omelette. I just had a colonoscopy at a nearby medical center and hadn't eaten in 2 days. I was hungry and ordered the Spanish Omelette. It was outstanding.
Dependable and recommendable. I have been to the breakfast bar twice this week because it is the cheapest meal of the day and I don't have to really eat again til the next day. It's so friendly and warm. It can get a bit loud but i get into it. Today was special because an elderly couple come in and she followed behind slowly and grinning from ear to ear and I thought what memories she must have. Her man was happy to see a smiling girl too. I just hope this restaurant stays around for me to smile like that in my 80's.
Great Frisch's Restaurant.. This is probably one of the best Frisch's Restaurants I've ever been in. Their food is well above average for this huge chain. Frisch's/Denny's/Shoney's/Jerry's/Bob's you know the same corporation owns them all.

A step above fast food. I don't go to Big Boy very often, but I do find it to be an effective "last resort" restaurant when I can't think of anything else. I like the fact that they serve diner-style items like breakfast as well as dinners with sides, hamburgers, and a salad bar. In general, I've liked their dinners the most--the fried shrimp and country fried steak (yes, most everything is fried) are good for the price and come with decent portions of vegetables. I do not suggest the spaghetti: the sauce is weak, watery and almost devoid of meat.
Breakfast at Frisch's is pretty tasty. Their pancakes are good and are served with plenty of actual butter, always a plus at a low-end place like this. The eggs are fine, and the bacon is hit or miss. Frequently it can be too crunchy. On weekends they have an extended breakfast bar which I don't enjoy as much as their normal breakfast; their bulk-cooked eggs tend to be rubbery and the bacon shatters like glass. Also, most items are astonishingly greasy (the weight of each slice of french toast on the bar seems to be 50% oil).
I'm not a fan of Big Boy burgers. They seem way too small and thin for the price; you're better off at McDonald's. The salad bar is pretty adequate, with more options than most (including cole slaw, chopped egg, beets etc). They also have watery soups and fruit no one ever seems to eat. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I enjoy the chocolate and ice cream cake.
Just Fine for non rich!. Been going to Frisch's since I was a child. Yes I have had a couple of slow service times, but the food has always been hot and tasted good or great. If you favor a "finer" dining restaurant with people not sitting right next to you and semi darkened dining area, this is not for you. They don't usually have peppy 18-22 year olds for servers either. If normal working people and some that appear to be out of work or retired bother you this is not your element. For me they are just fine!

Very good for what it is.. So what if it's only a notch above fast food. It's as cheap as fast food and almost as fast--faster than some "fast" food places, plus a lot more to choose from. Services is always friendly and usually attentive.
Got here at 10:30 made the end of the breakfast bar but everything was fresh
I love Frisch's so much and especially this location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We got the breakfast bar and everything was fresh and refilled quickly when they were running low.
